Episode 108

I don't know how many people are Catholic, but today is actually Palm Sunday. There's a church right here in the castle that was founded by a priest named Abel Nightroad. He and people from his world maintained it until they went home. I know there's another church in town, but Abel was a dear friend of mine and I want to make sure his church stays in use.

I'm not a priest but if anyone wants to join me in the church today, you're more than welcome.

There's a few of us around, but it's hard when there aren't any priests around anymore.

True. I've never been the most devout person, either.

Yeah, same here. Still, it's weird not seeing those Cadbury Egg commercials. It just doesn't feel like spring without it.

[a soft laugh] You know, I was just thinking of that. But we apparently have the actual Easter Bunny, so maybe he wouldn't want the competition.

Right. Apparently. It's really hard to tell what's real and what's just a delusion in this place.

Or a loss, I guess.

I don't believe it either, but stranger things have happened.

I guess that's true. This whole place is just an adventure in expanding horizons.

No kidding. I didn't think I'd have to expand enough to include childhood icons, but there you go.

It's a strange new world. [A pause.] Well, the magical part doesn't help, either.

Three years and the magic part is still strange.

Jeez. Three years, really?

Yeah, it was three years in January.

Suddenly hitting the two year mark doesn't seem that impressive.

Don't be too impressed. I've heard some people have been here even longer than that.

Yeah, I know Crowley's been here a hell of a long time.

[That was a joke he didn't even mean to make.]

He's a good example. [he smiles, though doesn't comment on the unintended joke]

I don't know if I'd use those words. [That guy........]

It's kind of strange, how some people have been here ages and still haven't ever spoken to others who have been here just as long.

Yeah. Especially with how small the castle is. I guess we just get comfortable with our own little circle of friends.
