[It's 8:00 in the evening and Nora's standing at her easel in her room wearing a man's dress shirt... and not much else. She's working on a larger canvas today, practicing her landscape painting so she won't fuck up the mural she's planning for Giotto. The CD that had been playing ended about half an hour ago. She COULD start another one but that would mean either cleaning up or getting MORE paint on it and, well, the buttons were already getting a little gummed up as it was. In the end she'd decided that she'd rather keep working.

Of course Paradisa isn't going to let silence go on a day like today. She starts out humming but it's not very long before she's singing and dancing around her room]

Well I guess that could've been worse.

[She pauses. Oh man she's really self conscious of her singing voice]

[Chell laughs.]

Yeah it is, isn't it? They usually are, really. The castle's pretty good at picking 'em out.

[silentrunning]

[Chell chortles]

So does the Castle pick what we sing, or just give us the urge to?

I think it picks. I've heard more than one person get pissed about what they're singing, actually.

[silentrunning]

[There's a rustling and a cackling. Chell's looking back through the journal.]

Man, I was lucky!

[eat_me_beat_me]

Oh yeah. Both of us were. [she laughs]

[silentrunning]

It's a pity someone can't record these.

[Chell muses.]

[She snickers]

You know we probably could if we planned for it. Like, got a bunch of recording stuff together next April Fools' day just in case it happens again.

[silentrunning]

[Chell grins.]

I'd totally be up for that!
