Mission 007 ~ [Dictated] - Forwarded to Midnight on the 18th
[Have a loud clanking echoing over the journals, Paradisa. It sounds like someone's hefting large lumps of metal about.
Then, a gruff voice sounds]
Well, it's about damned time.
[That voice is a certain SPARTAN-II who has realaised he can now put his armour back on.]

If anyone's awake, someone mind giving me a hand? The castle's finally decided to let me put my armour back on, and you guys are the closest I have to UNSC Techies.

Filtered to Naomi-010 and BB
You guys settling in alright?

Filtered to Agent York and Delta
Hope you're not getting too lonely out there.

((OOC: Loss end and open! Go nuts. Open to people complaining. It's like 1am or something.))

If no one else has volunteered, I can.

[Or around there, seeing as elevators could sometimes be a bit of a wild card, but it wasn't long before there was a rapping of knuckles on the door, and Rookie's helmet was peering in.]
Chief?

[The room was, as with most UNSC personnel, simplistic, but even more so. SPARTANs don't go for décor, it seems. There's plenty of strengthened furniture, though.
Jorge himself is sat on the bed with varying parts of his armour already on; boots, gloves and the like.]
Just need your help with the bigger bits.
no subject
Doesn't sound too difficult. [He'll come to a stop a foot or so away, and survey the pieces that Jorge needed help with.] Just the same process before, but in reverse, right?
no subject
[If not, Jorge can guide. Equipping MJOLNIR armour was akin to rocket science, after all.]
no subject
[So, yes. Guiding would be helpful. Most Rookie can remember was what not to do.]
no subject
[Anyone else would expect another sniping comment at that, but Jorge just wants to get his armour back on. Besides, where would he be, alienating one of the few people he feels comfortable around.]
Okay. Grab the back peice -careful, it's heavy- and just slot it in place. It'll click.
no subject
I can see why you prefer keeping your armor on all the time.
no subject
[Once you've been in it for 30-odd years. The armour clicks into place.]
Same with the front piece.
no subject
[That bit is said with humor, picking up the next piece with grunt, before clicking it into place like the one before. Once he was sure it was set, he'll take a step back.]
Almost makes me thankful that mine isn't so complicated.
no subject
[A pause.]
Weren't they designing ODST armour based on the MJOLNIR V design?
no subject
[He'll stand up a little straighter, before knocking his knuckles against his headgear for emphasis.]
Still not as complicated as Spartan armor, but what I have now is the latest in ODST tech. [A beat.] In my timeline, anyway.
no subject
[Rookie might notice that some of the SPARTAN's armour is the old Mark IV.]
no subject
[Especially after Reach.
As for the armor, well, Rook wasn't use to being around Spartans to begin with. So even he would have trouble telling what was newer and what wasn't with their equipment. But when compared to Kat and Six's armor, Jorge's did look a bit more used.]
Looks like you've had this armor for awhile.
no subject
[SPARTAN-IIs were forced to get the Neural Lacing upgrade when moving to Mrk V's.]
That, and being the Heavy Weapons specialist in Noble puts me in the line of fire.
no subject
[Said with that casual air as he looked to make sure all the armor pieces were set and in place.]
no subject
That's perfect.
[He then chuckles.]
Yeah, more than usual.
no subject
Guess you're set to go then.

no subject
Glad I could help, Spartan.
no subject
[Now he felt comfortable.]
Thanks for the help again.

[Since, well, it was Jorge's room.]
