☽ 013 [ Last Quarter ] - - Dictated.
[ In the past couple weeks, since the arrival of Professor Dumbledore and Harry, Remus has been thinking a lot about his future back home. He knows he cannot do much about it here in Paradisa, of course, but the thought still looms over his head, unreachable and shrouded in uncertainty. As a Werewolf, Remus knows that he will have a tough life ahead of him outside of Hogwarts. Work will be scarce. Even more so when one considers the fact that the Wizarding World is teetering over the threshold of war. And he's been thinking a lot about that particular fact lately. That even though it's a frightening and altogether insane thought, he knows that he has to do his part. He cannot just stand idly by. ]
I've been thinking lately.
[ He flips his journal open onto the desk in his room as he speaks, carding a hand through his hair. For all intensive purposes, he's simply venting. ]
Back home, I'm still a student. I've got one more year left before I'm to become an actual member of society. There's still quite a bit I haven't learned yet and things are ... well... things are not exactly looking very good back home.
I know that it's highly unlikely that the castle will allow me to retain my memories of this place when I'm sent back, but I want to do something to prepare myself. I'm not going to have it any easier any other way.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have a lot to learn still, but no way or place, that I can think of, in which to practice what I have learnt thus far. I can memorize spells quite easily from books, but I'm much more of a practical learner. I was thinking that perhaps, for any who are interested, that we could set up a place specifically to practice our skills?

... That should be something worked on, I think. I know there are a group of magic users, but the focus of the group is more on developing and combining magic than its practice. [ Granted, Duke is fairly sure its because most of the members are not... beginning mages. ]

I've met a fair few other Wizards here, and I'm aware that they have a group of sorts, but it's as you said. I'm still a student. Not a beginner, but not experienced, either, and there needs to be something to cater to the younger generation.

[ Of course, his magic is fairly heavy in elements and destruction, so it could just be his frame of reference. ]
I would not be surprised if it was a lack of motivation for attempted teaching or guidance, or some view of unsuitability for such a role. [ Duke puts himself in that second one. ]

[ He pauses to think about that for a moment. ]
I thought about perhaps offering up my own knowledge on the subject, but again, I am still a student myself. I think just a simple practice group would suffice...

You know the format. Getting the aid of others to help produce it is definitely within your abilities. Asking is usually what it takes.
[ Duke, you do realize you just more or less hinted that he could ask you to help out, right? Right? ]
