[going down to the lobby will net you one muddy and throughly soaked mute seated on one of the couches, looking a little bit annoyed and a little bit tired. he hadn't decided which one he was feeling the most right now. either way he had his coat off and was trying to clean it with his hands, which wasn't going over so well since they were just as dirty.

eventually he gives up for the moment and scribbles something in the journal.]

I think the books are coming alive. Is it happening everywhere?

At least those were safe, last I checked. [which was pretty recent, thankfully] Rest can do a world of good.

A book on gardening. There was dirt so I thought I could wash it off with water. [you see where he's going with this?}

A warm bath would do the trick best, to be honest.

Yes! I mean, a shower could do the trick, too, but a bath is nice and relaxing.

[ Stocking wishes up a dollhouse-sized bathtub and shower cube, holding each in one hand. ]

This is a bath, and this is a shower. Sometimes, there is a shower head attached to a bathtub. The bathtub can hold more water at once so you can soak in it.

[he nods. it makes sense that something larger could hold more than something smaller.]
