[He really shouldn't be here. It's empty and dead, nothing like how it was before, and yet Lloyd stands in the middle of Yuan's room anyway. He remembers being led through the dream to Yuan's center, a beautiful world tree with charms hanging from its branches. He remembers Yuan's sacrifice in the other world. And long, long before that, he recalls brief flashes of an uncle's rough smile and a cloak as dark as night.]

I'm sorry I couldn't find a way back, [he murmurs to no one in particular. Like airing his grievances here will actually mean something.] I made a lot of promises but I haven't been able to keep any of them. I'm sorry. [He clears his throat with some difficulty.] I know we didn't always see eye to eye and sometimes avoided you because of it, but... thanks. Thank you for everything you've done. For me, and the people here, and everyone at home.

I'm going to do my best from now on. No more slacking.

[He takes in a shaky breath, then turns and leaves.]

I know there's some big holiday coming up. Do you want to get away for a bit? We can pack some food and go camping until the castle is done being weird. You know how it is.

[Lloyd is in the kitchen now, and he has a dinner plate full of Hot Pockets. He's not big on tomatoes, but the pizza ones aren't that bad in his opinion, so that's what he's going with today.

But wait! There's more! He reaches around and grabs a second plate brimming with szechuan chicken and fried rice.

BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE! He balances the plate of wannabe calzones against his chest as he grabs a third plate, filled completely with gently seared steak. There's like 4 on there.

He's just getting started.]

[Zelos, finally off his loss, had swung by the kitchen to grab something small and light- like an apple, when he sees...this monstrosity the second he walks into the kitchen doorway]

[No seriously he can't bring himself to step further into the kitchen, this is just too disgusting. He'd rather go back to the days of needing to clean monster guts out of his hair then step near that plate of hotpockets. ]

[Though at the same time, he knows this is probably because of Yuan and Genis leaving and all that upset. So he's probably...obligated to say something, isn't he? Something nice? Yeah, he thinks that's how it's supposed to go. Overlook the food, and focus on the friend. Speak from the heart, come on Colette and Lloyd do it practically in their sleep- how hard could it be?]

[Lloyd waves hello with most of a hot pocket already in his mouth. SERIOUSLY MAN... HOT POCKETS. GOOD SHIT. At least in his opinion. Zelos sucks for not liking them.

He's pretty easy to read though. He's hungry, yeah, but he's also frustrated.

[He shakes a fork threateningly.]

[Lloyd has no idea. So her ninja powers are just fine.]

I don't want to get trapped in some obnoxious pink room for four days again. Uh-- not that I mind being stuck with you. [An awkward laugh.] It was just so boring, you know...

I don't trust the castle not to do something weird like that again.

[He picks up at least half of a steak with a fork and shoves it in his mouth.]

Apple gels are for injuries only and you do know they expire after awhile, right?

[Oh goddess he has to look away from that display] Dude! You're gonna choke!

[Lloyd chews in defiance, fork wagging threateningly. He's gonna eat and NO ONE CAN STOP HIM. Needless to say, he's a bit occupied with that steak and can't really continue conversation.

Though the bit about apple gels expiring is new.]

[hehe, she giggles a little bit at the memory. She had a really fun time, but it was true... Lloyd gets a bit restless when confined to one place. Hm, she wonders if she could adjust her plans to fit camping... Yeah, she thinks she can]

Okay, a camping trip sounds like a really good idea. I bet it will be a lot of fun!
