[Giotto was not stupid, nor was he curious enough to eat the Valentine's Day chocolate or the cake that appeared mysteriously outside his door. That was just asking for a large amount of trouble, of the love kind. Christmas and the damned nutcrackers had been quite enough for him. So the day after Valentines (when he figured it was safer), he took the cake and the candy down to the lobby, setting it down on a corner table and sitting in the couch opposite. He then opened his journal.]
There is free Valentine's Day candy in the lobby, for whoever wants it. [If anyone would want it. He certainly wasn't going to eat it himself.]
