[he kisses her fingers tenderly before leading her on toward the movie theater. Back home, this would probably be a cheap date for Valentine's day. But here in Paradisa, normal things like a night at the movies are hard to come by. That's part of the reason why Peter thought of it.
There's another part to his plan, but she won't know until she's settled in her seat and Peter gets the movie playing. He'll wait, hiding his smile, because he's sure she'll recognize the movie within a few seconds.
After all, it was her favorite: Kill it Before it Dies]
[As soon as the intro starts and she sees Billy on the screen her face lights up. Oh, Billy. There was a time when she couldn't watch the movie without thinking of him and how sweet he was, how badly she wished he didn't have to go back into the film. But her love affair with this movie is far from over.
She sighs wistfully, leaning on Peter. They're the only ones in the theater so she doesn't feel bad when she whispers]
He was sweet, very sweet. And incredibly naive. Think about what timeframe he comes from, after all. [she laughs] He was also completely black and white. I had to put makeup on him so he'd blend in.
Wow. [he lets the movie roll for a while as he thinks all this through] I always wanted to meet movie characters, but I never thought about how strange it would be. Your world really really is an amazing place.
Well we only did get to meet him because a demon went into the movie in the first place. He started hopping between horror movies and sending the bad guys into our world to kill us.
[she chuckles] I guess it is pretty amazing, though.
Good thing I'm not macho. [smiles, winking at her] I wouldn't mind the car, either. Not that I'd have any use for it. Even back home, I usually just took a cab or the subway.
Oh Billy isn't just a cute guy. He's the cute guy.
[She chuckles, laying her hand on his thigh]
Watching this movie, watching Billy, helped me fall in love with love. He's the perfect gentleman. He's brave, honest and true and he's just so real. I thought that even before I met him. Sure some of the dialogue is cheezy and the action is super dated but it's still one of my favorite romances of all time. It made me want to find a guy just like Billy for my very own.
[Peter smiles. He can't help but enjoy her energy as she talks about this. The touch of her hand is a pretty nice bonus. But more than that, he's glad to give her this moment]
I grew up thinking of romance like they show it in the comic books. Where the hero is shy around the girl he loves, but always manages to be her hero in the end. The dialogue there could get pretty cheesy, too.
And this is her not complaining. Wrapping her arms around his neck she he sighs happily and tilts her head to one side, eyes rolling back as he kisses her weak spot.]
I Oooohh I'm glad. If you didn't we may have had a problem.
[hey, you're the one who said you didn't know how you'd get her back up the freaking tower to their room. She plays with the hair at the back of his neck.]
Mmm I do, too. [pause] unless of course you'd rather wait until we get aaaaall the way back up to our room.

The movie theater?

Ooooh a private movie. The plot thickens.
[she takes his arm]
I'm ready when you are, handsome.

I got to meet him once, years ago.

What was he like?

You're just saying that so if it does happen all of the cute lovestruck girls will come out of the movies.
[Best wife ever]

Of course then I'd have to deal with all that flexing and growling and the whole macho thing gets old pretty fast. [pause] I'd take the car, though.

We had our own cars back home. There are the trollies but it's just easier to be able to go where we need when we need to.

So aside from the cute guy, why is this your favorite movie?

I seem to remember someone being both shy and a hero when I first met him. The only thing missing was the cheesy dialogue.

Is this the part where I swoon into your arms and say "take me I'm yours?"

To you? Always.

I know how it ends. Besides- I've got my own happy ending.

The only problem I have right now is how I'm going to get you all the way back to our room.
no subject
Weeeee-eeeell we do have the theater all to ourselves.
[she gives him a wicked look. Do you dare, Peter?]
no subject
Hm. So we do. I think we should take advantage of that, and the fact I have a long coat.
no subject
Mmm I do, too. [pause] unless of course you'd rather wait until we get aaaaall the way back up to our room.

You do make a convincing argument. How can I possibly say "no" to you?

She leans into him and lightly kisses the side of his neck]
I can be very persuasive when I want to be.
