written/action for the clinic and the church, backdated to after Robb's arrival yesterday

[The following is written simply, almost offhandedly, into the journal.]

The anniversary of my arrival here passes and only a few days later my eldest son is given back to me. The gods are good.

[Action]

[Most of the day you can find Catelyn in the clinic fussing at Robb or just sitting quietly while he rests.

But she does steal a moment to go down to the church. It’s not quite right, but it’s the closest to a sept that she’s going to get around here. She seats herself neatly in a pew and whispers a few quiet words of thanks.]

Which ones, Lady Stark, or do you mean all seven?

So he is your family. I'd wondered. ... I'm glad you've had some good news.

[wolfskin]

[ Robb is getting restless being bound to the bed that he is, nevertheless he puts up with it. He made a vow to remain until the morrow and he will not break it. (he has broken enough vows for his lifetime) ]

Mother, I am feeling better. [ Stop fussing. ]

[ladywinter]

[She actually gives a little laugh] All seven, and I will thank the old gods too, if it pleases them. But it would be most appropriate to thank the Mother.

[ladywinter]

Thank you. [Granted, the news that he brings isn't exactly good. But she already knew. Most of it, at least. And having him here is worth it.] It is good to see him again.

[ladywinter]

[She smiles faintly and sits back down in the chair she had pulled up next to his bed.]

Forgive me, I know I am being foolish.

[heloise]

The Mother of course, who else can understand the overwhelming joy in seeing one's son again?

[savethedarkness]

I can only imagine. I have no children of my own, to speak of, but being separated from those you care for ... Well, I'm sure you don't need me to tell you my impressions of how terrible it must be.

[wolfskin]

Not foolish. [ She is being a mother, looking upon her son and seeing a boy instead of a man grown. ]

[--wait.] Which gods?

[ladywinter]

I hold to the Seven; my son holds to the old gods. Unless you hail from Westeros, I doubt you will have heard of either.

[kethedammit]

Ain't never heard of no Westeros, but I know seven gods, plain simple.

[ladywinter]

The Father, perhaps.

[ladywinter]

Irksome, then. I know you are no longer in danger, but I- [She flashes back to Bran's sickbed, she thinks about what she has been told of their futures.]- I worry.

[ladywinter]

You do? [This is the first that anyone outside of Westeros has known something even remotely similar.] Would you describe them?

[ladywinter]

That is something we all face here, I'm afraid.

[wolfskin]

[ A little, but he does not admit it. ] I know, I am mending well. [ Or so he hopes. He feels better than he did when he arrived. ]

[kethedammit]

Uh, okay. There's Phi-Kethetin, god of the sun and beginnings, and then there's Phi-Lazary, goddess of judging the dead and kind deaths and all that, and then there's Cade-Cholera, goddess of bad deaths and diseases and pain. And then there's Min-Terris, who's for time and endings and history, and Vir-Istenna, for fairness and balance, and Heth-Eskaladen, for books and knowledge and libraries. And if we're on the old reckoning, Kethe's the god of liars and thieves and trickery. And that's a septad-- uh, seven.

Them sound familiar?

No, not quite, try as they may.

They never had to spend nearly an entire year bearing the child.

[savethedarkness]

I suppose that's true. ... Nothing to be done about it, though, but carry on.

[ladywinter]

Ned was not even at Winterfell while I was carrying Robb. I will never forget the look on his face the first time he laid eyes on his son. He was overjoyed that with each them, but that first time...

[ladywinter]

As it always is.

It will not belong before you begin to regain your color. [Hopefully. Bloodloss sure is a thing.]
