You know what? For now, I'll be grateful. It was pretty lonely there, for a while. But don't think I don't know how easily the rug can be pulled from under my feet.

And now I'm at the point where I'm talking to the freakin' castle. Let's save that for year four, okay?

Hey, have a moment to talk business?



A BFF for Christmas, a boyfriend for the new year, and another best friend for Easter, I guess. My days of having nothing to do are long gone. Some days I even have to get out of my pajamas.

Suddenly lively social life aside, I've been trying to make those confetti eggs--harder than you'd think. Eggs are surprisingly fragile when you wanna keep them mostly intact. Let's not even get started on cleaning out the inside. Guess I could just ask the castle for a bunch, but where's the fun in that, right?

You still have property in the city, right?

I might give up on the confetti and just hard-boil some eggs and dye them, yeah.

You meant to fill them with candy? [ Because confetti = sugar-coated almonds. ]

They have colored, plastic eggs that are filled with candy. There's a way to empty real eggs and fill them with little pieces of paper, but I lack the skill.

[It's not really that hard, she's just impatient and wants to mash them on heads.]

...No problem. He told me that it was his idea to keep it a secret. Chloe did the same for Clark for years, so, this is really nothing.

[ What. This is real estate? ]

Yeah. Currently, I have two open properties. Why, did you want to look at one?

What would you do with the eggs after? [ Smash them over heads? ]

I would, if you wouldn't mind. [Quickly:] Nothing's set in stone yet, but I was just thinking it's time for a change.

Of course I wouldn't mind. I bought them to rent them, and I always prefer to encourage castle residents to move out here. Rent is flexible, too, depending on if the resident works to earn the money or if they wish for it.

But you can worry about that later, after you have a look.

Working for you and renting from you, huh? An endless cycle.

Two bedrooms would be preferred. I'll probably have a roommate, if I go through with this.

[There's not much keeping her at the castle, nowadays. Kara can be anywhere within moments, Lucrezia has moved out, Tim lives in the city. Her favorite upstairs neighbor and the castle's convenience are all that are holding her back.]

One is a two bedroom with one and a half bath. It's more urban minimalist, since I had it renovated like my own place.

[ Although hers is definitely a different style. ]

The other is a three bedroom with two and a half baths, and it's more Victorian in style.

Are you planning an ingenious prank?

[Those sound so fancy! Three bedrooms sounds appealing, though Steph's not sure what she'd use the third bedroom for. Maybe if it was her, Cass, and Tim deciding to live together, but that's probably not a good idea. She hasn't even asked Cass if she's interested.]

I'll check out both, then.

When is a good date? You want to set aside at least a few hours if you want to get a good look at both places. It could take more or less, depending on what you prefer, of course.

[ This is real estate so she's going to actually write this down in her schedule, yo. ]

And if you don't like either property, it's not a problem. I can still make sure you get a very fair price with nearly anyone else who might be renting or selling.

Having personally benefited from friendly assistance in the past, I can say it's always easier when you've got someone keeping an eye on your back. I'll be that someone in this case, don't worry. You'll get a place, and you'll love it.

I also have a spare room in my house that I've rented out with money under the table before if you're in a hurry, because it'll take longer than just a day to get everything settled and you moved into a house.
