[Pixy is lounging on the couch on the lobby, looking a little worse for wear today, while a little shiba inu puppy (that he had adopted eleven days ago from town) was laying on the floor by the couch. When he woke up and read the mess about 'stains' over the journals, he almost wondered if he was exempt for once. Of course, luck wasn't with Solo Wing this time, as they eventually got him too, and he currently looks like he just came right out of a plane crash. Dirt, scuff marks, dried blood and fresh blood are all over himself and his clothes, but he really doesn't seem to care as he talks to the open journal.]
So everyone's bent on believing these "stains" - as they keep being referred - are symbollic to our psyche in some manner? It's got to be linked to 'guilt and regret', huh? It's amazing how people look for hidden meanings behind the actions of this place and don't just chalk it up to it messing with us.
[Of course, he doesn't know the extent of some peoples' stains, but naturally he doesn't particularly care either. He reaches down to pet the puppy while staring at the ceiling, but starts to feel an awful burn on the back of his right hand. He pulls his hand back up and looks, frowning when he sees a scar, that looked like it was caused by a chemical laser, shaped like the number '0'. He scoffs.]
...well, that's awfully ironic.
[Dr. Beckett]
[Ugh, he doesn't want to filter, but he'd might as well. He already knows the cause of that scar, but that burning was gonna drive him up the wall. It takes him a while, but eventually he finally decides to ask.]
Don't suppose you've got any specific treatments for burns, do you?

Filter
He looks over at his journal, frowning.]
If you can come down to the Town Clinic, we can have a wee look.
Filter forever
Nothin' you can tell me over the journal, huh? I'd hate to interrupt your practice on the townsfolk with something this minor.
[That and he doesn't want to make the trip, but he will if he has to. That stinging burn was really REALLY annoying.]

There's no quick-fix treatment for burns that I can do... [A pause] and if its caused by this recent Castle loss, I don't think there's anything anyone can do...
Submerge it in cool, not ice, water. If you need to put a soothing agent on it, I recommend ibuprofen and paracetamol for the inflammation and pain. An ibuprofen gel might help.
If it's still there after this castle thing passes, I'll take a look at it. A wee scan should tell us how deep it is.

[He gives a bit of an annoyed sound.]
I'm pretty sure it's connected to this whole 'stain' thing going around. I don't think petting a dog should cause a scar that looks like a zero to appear on the back of my hand.
[And there's a yap from his shiba puppy.]
[dictated]
I suppose not, but it seems everyone here enjoys looking into deeper meanings for everything. The earthquake a few days ago proves that. No one can just chalk that up to natural reasons, and now these stains have 'deep' meaning.
Sounds ridiculous if you ask me.
[Of course, a magic castle in another world is also ridiculous but hey, that's Mr. Skeptic for you.]

[Quit being a dick about it, Larry.]
Either way, it's true. Hell, even I got hit with it.

Besides, I have nothing to regret. As far as I'm concerned, "the castle" is just messing with us.
[That's a case of denial right there. Followed by that is a little yap from the puppy because 'HI MITSURU'.]

[Mitsuru heard the puppy yap in the background. She couldn't help but smile]
How is your new companion doing?

He can be a bit of a nuisance. Remind me again how you convinced me to adopt him?
[There's another yap, this time aimed at Pixy. What do you mean 'nuisance'!?]

Does your new companion have a name now?

[Ugh, women. Though he idly looks at the dog when she mentions a name. ...yeah, he hadn't thought about that.]
Can't say he does. I haven't really given any thought about it.

I have 'Buddy' reserved for someone else.
[He looks over at the dog - which stares back at him, the two almost having a staring contest. Until he finally shrugs.]
I suppose Weiss will do.

[Entirely possible.]

I'm having a hard enough time buying that as it is, I don't need anyone else and their 'everything has a meaning' attitude making that harder.
