[Once Danny had finally gotten enough energy back to shift to his ghost side, it hadn't taken him long to start healing.  He wasn't there yet, but bruises and soreness was tons better than how he had been. Physically, he was on the mend.

Mentally?  Not so much.  There were a lot of things he was determinedly not thinking about. Being attacked by someone he thought of as a friend. The whole thing with being kidnapped by that creep.

...Everything those hallucinations of his parents and his evil future self had told him.  That all went high up on his list of things to never think about again.  

Of course being determined not to think about it was just making him think about it any more.  And that was why his attempt at avoiding anyone only lasted a day.  He needed distractions.]
 
You know what really, really sucks? 

[He looks away from one of his model spaceships with a shudder.  Right, going to have to take those down soon.]

Okay, that's most things right now.  But number one is getting stuck in these places with no good way to fight. Once I'm not a walking bruise anymore, is there anyone who could teach me how to fight?  Like a human? Or other person with no powers at all?

I don't know if I like the idea of learning something like that, but I am so sick of having to be carried home.
