paradisa | 01- Arrival- [written]

[Bilbo furrows both his brows as he writes within his journal. Sitting within the room he was given, he sighs. He does not even know why he is within these castle walls, he just knows he is here now. He looks around before wondering who will actually get to read this. Is Thorin or any of the company here too? Right now, he felt butterflies within his stomach as he wrote.]

Hello. My name is Bilbo Baggins, of Bag End. I happen to be a resident within the castle here. I...[He coughed as he thought of something else to say.] ...I am rather unsure of why I happen to be here. I was in the middle of an important journey, you see.

[More humming and sighing. But then again, this castle did seem friendly and accommodating enough. The room was luxurious, to say the least.] If anyone is reading this, please can you contact me in any way possible. I would much like to meet anyone who is reading this and find out what is going on. I am a friendly hobbit, and won't say no to a bit of company.

[Legolas can't write back, sorry Bilbo. He's busy with his arms full of sleepy children. Which makes it impossible to do much more than open his journal.]

A name I've not heard in quite some time. Frodo will be pleased to hear from you.

You are of Middle-Earth as well? [Between Galadriel and Frodo Will had heard quite a bit about this world.]

Any way possible around here pretty much boils down to the journal or finding you in person. We don't exactly have phones or anything.

[ His favorite cousin's voice is more gravelly usually, but this one sounds clearer. Younger. As much as he understands how the Castle works by now, this still takes him by great surprise, and there is the longest pause before he finally speaks up, most hesitant. ]

The castle wanted me? Why on earth would a castle want me? I'm just a hobbit, nothing that special. [He frowned at the name.]

It will? [The whole concept of the journey waiting for him was rather confusing.]

Time stops? Oh. How confusing. [What other strange things would happen to him today?] Nice to meet you, Martel. May I ask how long you have been in the castle?

[Bilbo was surprised to know this elf knew him.]

Uh...yes? I'm sorry, I think you have confused me with someone else. I do not know anyone called Frodo, master elf.

Yes, I am. [Oh. Was this someone who knew about his world?] Forgive me for being rude, but, you don't look like someone from my world.

A what? [What on earth is a "phone?" He was confused. Terribly so. Cue lots of sighs and a look of frustration over his face.]

Nora. I am very lost and...rather confused at the moment.

It...does? Oh, um, thank you. [He looked down at the script. It was very well written and almost....elven in context.]

May I ask how you know of my reputation?

Yes, this is Bilbo Baggins. Have we met before somewhere? [Oh, another hobbit. He sighed. At least, he had another of his kin in this vast castle.]

I am very lost and rather confused at the moment. Can you tell me how I got here possibly?

[Many people keep asking him this. He didn't even know who this Frodo was.]

I have never heard of anyone called Frodo. Why do people keep asking me this?

Young? I happen to be a respectable age for a hobbit. [He let out a small cough.]

[He's certainly good with riddles.]

[Legolas does laugh though, quietly. He really doesn't want to wake Oropher or Tinuiel.]

You'll find many strange things and ideas here. I am from what you would think of as the future and we met in Rivendell.

[Oh yes. He prides himself on being good at those.]

Last seen me? I can honestly say that I have never met you in all my life. I'm rather confused at this whole situation. [Can you hear him sigh over the noise of your children, Legolas?]

This is strange to put something mildly. We met in-Rivendell? We did?

No, but you will. [He can, if only because they're sleeping right now. And his children are surprisingly quiet sleepers.]

Yes, we did indeed but that is a tale for after you have settled in at Cair Paradisa. There are those who have been here longer who might be better able to explain it all.
