[Agent York appears to no longer be a doll ... and is, in fact, standing in the kitchen, attempting to maneuver a pitcher of iced tea out of the fridge. only, well. it's not York.
the gauntlets are bulky and cumbersome and M might have just given up on lifting the pitcher out by the handle and started to pick it up by muckling the sides.
she's wished up one of those little voice-changing gizmos, so hopefully if it becomes necessary to speak, she won't sound like York.
this can only go well, right?]

Where the hell is the music coming from?

This tin can is only useful in some ways.

[But looking closer at the York she is puzzled.] Yeah Carolina said you were a little stuffed doll. So..I'm guessing you're not really York then. He knows how to move in his armor.

Fair enough, but I am a friend of his, and not looking like myself is a fantastic stroke of luck, right now. I'll be happy to enlighten you, but it must be in private.

I know that tone, you're in hiding. [Or being hunted, she was entirely too familiar with the feeling.] Get that faceplate down, you don't need to explain more than that now. Friend of York's is good enough for me. That a real suit or one of the plastic ones I heard about?

Fiberglass. I think. It's certainly not heavy enough to be more than that.

Try to keep the helmet on as much as you can. I was feeling like taking a lean in a doorway, this one looks as good as any. Take a few minutes and relax. [Tex would stand guard, one door, she wasn't going to let anyone past her.]

...Emma?
Oh, I'm fine. [He wraps the scarf back around his neck with a jerk. I can't seem to get this to stop from slipping.

Why cold tea?

[she has to walk the walk, after all, even though she's got a slight reprieve for the moment. she sits down awkwardly in a chair and takes a sip, remembering how York could drink through the helmet. at least she can do that properly. if it weren't so dangerous, she might have laughed]

...Maybe that would work!

[Conan makes a face and wishes them up. He would never be comfortable with using wishing to acquire such things.]

Was that the hell ship thing in space I heard about?
no subject
You never called on me to help you with your tea, Emma.

.... One of them, yes. The ship with the more hellish turn of events was the Event Horizon.

Glad I missed that charming little trip.

Worry not. I will keep safe.

I expect so. Anything like that requires practice.
