Second grain of sand

[Sandy is in the lobby today, though he's lacking his usual golden cloud. His ordinarily shimmering golden sand is dim and grey. Atop his head sit a fake pair of grey fuzzy bunny ears and clutched in his hands is a basket with a few brightly colored eggs.

He looks down at those eggs for a moment before gingerly picking one up. He holds it between two fingers as if completely unsure what he's meant to do with it. He's seen Bunnymund at work, of course, but this isn't Easter and he CERTAINLY is not Bunny. That doesn't mean he can't be incredibly amused in the meantime. He grins, looking around to see if there were any children he could give one of his eggs to]

[There's a white bunny with a fatsuit and a fake beard watching you, Sandy. The look in his eyes suggest he's about half a conversation away from tearing someone's throat out with his bear paws. The big bag of toys attached to one of his paws isn't helping matters]

Someone is going to get jobbed one for this bloody mess. [B|] I don't know why you're so happy about it.

[Sandy shakes his head with a smile. Why so grumpy, Bunny? It's not all bad! He hops over (what? He couldn't resist) and offers one of the eggs as a peace offering.]

[He's always grumpy. He rolls his eyes, taking the egg]

Stop hopping about.

[ And here is North. With his beard dyed yellow, yellow warpaint on his face, a yellow version of his usual outfit, and an enormous pair of goggles on his head.

...He also has a cloud made of yellow netting fabric tied around his waist that looks like nothing so much as a gigantic tutu. And an expression of worrying glee in his face.

He jumps into the room and throws a handful of yellow sand at Sandy with a cackling laugh.]

[Sandy shakes his head, waving a finger at Bunny. With a grin he twirls around on one foot, arms outstretched. When he faces his friend again he's grinning from ear to ear.

Come on! Have some fun for once you old fuddy duddy.]

[silent_guardian]

[Whelp that's certainly different. Sandy hadn't been expecting to be accosted by sand today... let alone by North dressed like him. It takes him a moment to recover before he falls over, holding his stomach as he silently laughs at the ridiculous sight North made.]

[No, he's allergic to fun, it makes his fur fall out. He flops despondently onto the floor, which doesn't have the right effect when you have a fatsuit]

I'm not doing it and you can't make me.

Is excellent costume yes? All excellent costumes!

[Awwww really, Bunny? Don't you think that's a little melodramatic? He hops closer (What? Fight him)

He comes to a stop next to Bunny's head and leans over, looking down at him with a concerned look on his face. Why you so mopey, Bunny?]

[He BEAMS and nods enthusiastically. YES Yes all of this is excellent even if they look somewhat ridiculous.]

[He'll just give Sandy a LOOK right back, before relenting. You can't outstare tiny Sandman. It's impossible]

Don't you think this is all a bit of a farce?

[Yes. Yes it is. How good of you to remember that, Bunny. He looks up, seeming to think about this for a moment. So many things in this place seemed farcical if you thought about them long enough and he certainly had.

Finally he gives his friend a cockeyed smile, shrugging and and nodding as if to say 'well yes I do think so but what can we do about it?']

[That pointy paw is out again]

But I'm not ho-ho-hoing anywhere. You can't make me.

[North smiles broadly as a new idea occurs to him.]

What of Bunny?

[silent_guardian]

[Sandy makes a face at him before reaching out and tugging on that white beard. Oh but why not?]

[Bunny pulls back flailing his paws a little]

You know why. I've got at least a little decorum. I'm not going to make a bloody big gallah of myself.

[silent_guardian]

[If Sandy could laugh he would be cracking up right now. Big gallah? Really? Oh where's your sense of fun? He shakes his head, amused.]

[silent_guardian]

[Sandy laughs silently and points to North. A little sand image of Bunny with a big belly and beard forms over his head]

I know you're mocking the lingo, mate. I can see it in your eyes.

[North lets out a deep belly laugh at that.]

[silent_guardian]

[His eyes widen and he gives Bunny the most innocent of innocent looks. HIM? Mock YOU? Nooooooooo.]

[Sandy's grin widens as he watches North. He thought you might be amused at that one.]

[He rolls his eyes and gives Bunny a smirk. He may mock the lingo but he still loves you, man.]
