She could be a cruel woman, and could manipulate people to do what she wanted. And she's been harboring a vendetta against Henry's grandmother ever since she was a young girl.

I do know she would do anything to keep Henry.

She says she loves him, and she believes that. But it's hard for her because she's been corrupted so much by magic.

A man named Rumpelstiltskin created the curse, but it was Regina who made it happen. It's a very long story how Rumpelstiltskin made sure she would do it, but it's safe to say he was working on it for years.

The curse banished certain people from the Enchanted Forest to a world without magic. The natives call it "Earth". Emma and I escaped the curse and grew up in the World Without Magic. But for everyone else, their memories of their lives in the Enchanted Forest were stripped away and they were given new identities.

For twenty-eight years they were stuck in what was essentially limbo. Emma just being there weakened the magic and people were starting to change. I saw it happen with my own eyes. And then she finally believed, and she broke the curse.

I know Henry is from before the curse was broken, but I'm from after and I know it worked.
