Vongola XXVII -- Dictated

[He should have asked this two days ago, really, but he kind of got.. distracted. Also, procrastinating like a boss and hoping he wasn't jinxing it. But now he's kind of curious.]

Just out of curiosity-- what's the longest anyone has seen a loss last?

[In other words, hi guys, he's still here.]

[He remembers it, too. How honestly he'd been afraid of Giotto dismissing him as a total failure and screw-up. But the man had forgiven his shortcomings and paranoia, and had come to genuinely care about and support him.

For all of his own faults and regrets, Tsuna held Giotto right next to his heart, and he hugs him tightly back.]

But only slightly. I've little intention of avoiding you or running away this time.

That's good. [Giotto pulls away slightly to favor Tsuna with a bright smile. He was so happy, how things had turned out between them. He hadn't been sure what to expect when they finally became on good terms with each other, but this was possibly the best outcome he could have imagined.] Since if you did that would make having lunch together a bit difficult.

Now, I know I was the one who suggested eating out, but... I have to admit, even though I've been here for a year I've barely gone out to eat. So, unless you have a particular place in mind, I suppose we'll just have to walk around until we find something that looks nice.

Well, neither have I, so I suppose we'll just have to wander around until we find some place.

[He slips his hands into his pockets.] I have no idea what you like to eat, though.

[Tsuna picks a direction and starts walking.]

Maybe there's something like a good Japanese restaurant around here? I haven't had Japanese in awhile...

It's been a while for me, too. I only visited there once for a month or so and that was a few years ago.

You could say that, yes. [He doesn't elaborate on that.]

There's so much traveling involved... I'll admit I've felt overwhelmed quite a few times, having to go to three different countries in one day. It wasn't usually that bad, of course, but still...

...Three different countries? [Sorry, that's slightly impossible in his time, Tsuna.]

Ah... yes? I mean, they were all bordering one another, I think.

Well, still. I forget sometimes you have cars and things like that.

Oh, yes! Though, I actually have a personal jet... Um, do you know about planes, Nonno?

...No? Other than a flat area.

[not_mafia]

[A bit of a chuckle at that.] Well, the jist of it is that they're like cars... mechanical and used to quickly transport people or things over long distances. Except, planes fly.

[A blank stare at Tsuna.] That seems ridiculously unsafe to me.

For the most part, it's actually very safe. People would throw a riot otherwise, not to mention never use them...

Sorry, I'll just stick with a horse and carriage. Though I have been in a car.

[It was exciting, in a loud, motion sick sort of way.]

--oh! How about this one? [It's a small restaurant with a distinct Japanese theme to it.]

A few months ago. Nora took me out.

[Does Tsuna even know Nora? Giotto wasn't sure.]

This one looks fine.

Did she? [He goes inside, holding the door open for Giotto.] And how did that go?

Not too badly, though it was far faster and louder than I expected.

[Or that could just be Nora's driving. He walks though the door, thanking Tsuna with a nod.]

They can be pretty loud and fast... planes are even moreso.

[Tsuna asks for a table for two, and follows the waitress, politely thanking her once they're seated.]

You know...

[He pauses, then waves a hand.]

Ah, nevermind.

[is_mafia]

I doubt I'd like them, then. [He raises an eyebrow at that, but doesn't pursue whatever Tsuna was going to say.]

...All right then. [And then Giotto falls into a silence because he has nothing to say, really. His fingers find his ring, and start spinning it around his finger.]

... the others on the journals, they said the longest loss they've seen was a month. So... I have a couple more weeks, I suppose.

[He gives an awkward laugh.]

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what to do with myself here.
