First car - Arrival

There's a new arrival to Paradisa today. A young man who looks very much confused and very much on guard has found himself in the lobby of the castle. He hasn't noticed the journal yet as it lay open on a nearby couch.

Aaron has no idea how he got here but one thing is for sure and that is that he doesn't like it here. The place looks nothing like the barn he was in. He's also a bit pissed that he came here just as he had found a light spot in his life, Ed. Feelings run around inside but his anger and annoyance are those which comes forth the most. He looks around the big room with a scowl on his face.

[There's a vampire watching him from the corner of a room, sipping coffee calmly, seemingly unworried by his scowling]

Well, well, look at that. A new arrival.

[The Doctor approaches the young man.]

Why the frowny face?

[Aaron notices the woman in the corner. There's something unnerving over her pale skin and he puts his guard up. He makes his way over and stops several steps away from her.]

What do you mean with that?

[Aaron looks over to the other man. The words doesn't settle him and he continues to scowl.]

'Cos I've just been kidnapped. I am not going to be all hunky dory over that.

[She offers him a sharp-toothed smile]

Exactly what it sounds like. You're a new arrival. Unless of course, you normally appear randomly in rooms looking confused.

[Aaron stares at the fangs but he doesn't flinch at the sight of them.]

New arrival to where?

[She getures to the general space of the lobby around them]

To Paradisa. Your new happy sentient soul eating kidnapping castle home.

[teenagebadboy]

[Aaron gives the... thing... a disbelieving look.]

Fine if you don't wanna tell me, but don't start lying about it. Like I would ever fall for that, I'm not daft. Soul eating castle, c'mon.

Look I don't know what you and your crazy gang want with me but you have made big mistake here. If your gang wants money, you have came to the wrong place. My family barely makes enough to get by. Just point me in the direction out of here so I can leave because you won't get what you want from me.

Awww, I forgot what it was like to be that naive about this place.

Look, no one here is interested in your money, but if you insist on wandering out, the doors that way. [She points] But you won't get very far. No one's found a way out yet.

Ah, yes! Welcome to Paradisa. We've all been kidnapped. On the plus side, when this place is done with you, it returns you to the place and time it took you from.

Naive is the last thing I am and I won't give up just because others have.

Am I supposed to be happy over that? I want to get back now. And what do you mean with "done with me"?

Good for you. Maybe you'll get through when countless others for years haven't.

[Aaron frowns back at the other person.] So I should just give up and just sit around doing nuthing then? Gee, what a good plan. [Sarcasm]

Of curse not, you should plan, and think. Charging off into a world you know nothing about does nothing.

[Aaron falls silent and clenches his jaw in thought. He realizes that the woman is right and that her point is a fair one. Unable to come up with anything to add. He glances back up.] Fair point.

The name's Maladict. [Offering a name seems about as good a thing to do at this point]

Happy? No I certainly wouldn't say so but it's not as bad as it could be. Really that is something. They say it's the Castle that took you and your stuck here, with everyone else until it's ready to return you. When that is, no one knows. Some are here for a short time and other literally years.

Really though, it could be worse. Although, while there is an upside, there is more of a down side too. I'm sorry. Very sorry.
