So uh.

I'm not where I'm supposed to be.

I'm not where I'm supposed to be at all.

It took me a moment to notice, because it's a castle and I live in a castle, but it was weird because neither Kai or Gerda or any of the other staff came to wake me and then I realized it wasn't my room and...

[a small, yet somehow long pause]

... Why am I even talking to a book?!

Someone please tell me what the heck is going on...

[Oh. Oh.

So Elsa may be having a minor freakout because oh no, Anna's here too. Which is bad because she's seen strange things happen here, and has heard of horrible misfortunes happening to the captives held here. And while she's slightly comforted with the fact that the strange magic that this realm operates on means that the two surviving members of Arendelle's royal family will not appear to be missing back home... that didn't change the fact that Anna was here, and that meant that she could be subjected to any number of strange things.

But on the other hand... Anna was here. Her beloved baby sister was here with her now, and she won't be alone. They were together, and Elsa would most definitely look out for her.]

Anna, where are you?

[The writing is easily recognizable as Elsa's own penmanship, though the script is slightly wobbly, like her hand was shaking as she wrote.]

[okay... now there's words magically appearing in this book. But... she's seen that writing before. Even with her and Elsa being separated for so long, she'd seen enough of her sister's royal decrees to know her writing anywhere]

... Elsa?

[Anna began wondering if she should be writing too... oh dear, there were a million things to consider about all this...]

[Don't worry, Anna. Elsa's just as weirded out by the strange magic journals as you are. It's why she keeps to writing - she still finds talking to (and hearing voices from) a book to be a little too strange. But in this case, hearing her sister's voice... that's enough to keep her from being too creeped out for now.]

Yes, it's me. I'm stuck in the castle too; if you can find your way down to the first floor, I can meet you there.

First floor? I'm not even sure what floor I'm on...!

[Anna has a million questions she wants to ask, but... if this isn't a trick, and Anna is suddenly worrying it might be... she figures it'd be better to ask them to Elsa in person]

... Look! I'll try and come find you if you tell me something only Elsa would know!

[... Elsa understands why Anna wouldn't believe her when she says it's her. It's kind of hard to trust a talking, self-writing book, after all. Still... a small shock of hurt lances through her heart, and there's a small pause before she writes again.]

... Alright. Do you want me to answer a question, or just say something?

... a question.

What did we both smell at your coronation party? The thing that made us really happy?

Elsa, it is you!

Thank goodness! I'll come and find you right away!

It shouldn't be too hard to find a staircase. Just take it all the way down, and I'll be waiting for you there.

[ Oh, he can't pass that up. He'll be serious in a moment, but for now- ]

[before long, Anna is running down the stairs and... looking incredibly lost. There's a dose of fear too, but she's doing her best to not make that obvious...]

[... okay book, that's a very... odd thing to say suddenly]

... Um. You're not possessed, are you? Or did someone bring you to life, because I actually have experience with things like that...?

Ha ha, very funny. Someone already tried that, you know.

Oh, sure. I spend years talking to photos in our gallery and suddenly talking to a book makes me crazy did I just say that out loud?!

[Elsa had been making her way down to the ground floor the moment she had suggested it, nearly bumping into several people as she walked and wrote at the same time, so she's already waiting for her sister by the time Anna reaches the bottom of the stairs. A wide smile crosses her face when she spots the other girl, and in a move most unusual for the normally controlled queen, Elsa nearly runs over to her.]

Anna!

[The first thing Anna might notice is that Elsa is... well. Dressed for the snowy weather outside, all wrapped up in a high-collared dress similar to the one she had worn during her coronation, but in the same soft blues of her magically-created attire.

The second thing she'll notice is that there's only a brief pause of hesitation before Elsa throws her arms around Anna and pulls her into a tight hug.]

[ How far does he want to take this. Hmmmnn. ]

Oh no. I have a nice room here. Looks quite a bit like home.

Would you feel better if I said you didn't?

Pity. If I had only spoken first.

Now I can only bid you welcome.

Elsa...!

[that might have been the first thing Anna noticed, but for now, she was more focused on the fact that her sister was now right in front of her. She ran up and met her sister, throwing her own arms around Elsa... though with a scosh less enthusiasm, as for Anna, it's only been a few hours since she last saw her sibling.

This fact does not go unnoticed.]

Oof...! Elsa! It's like you haven't seen me in days...!

Eh, so this is your room? ... why did you bring me here then, Mr. Book?

Um, thanks.
