[It's been quite a long time since he's done this, which comes with it's own bit of regret. He'd been so caught up in everything the castle had thrown at him he had ignored his responsibilities. Granted, they were responsibilities he'd given himself, but there was no reason to pretend they didn't exist once he'd started, as easy it was to use Chimera as an excuse for dinner parties, which wasn't to say that would stop him in the future.]

Fellow residents, I will attempt to take up as little of your time as I can, but I would like a few moments of your time. If you do not yet know me, my name is Felix Harrowgate. I started a group here for magic-users I call Chimera. I assure you there is nothing sinister in the name. It is namely metaphorical for a number of reasons I will not bore you with in detail, but in short relate to our functions which are research and, when needed, defense of other residents. If neither interest you, we can at least offer you a certain amount of camaraderie of a peer group.

I bring this up now because it's possible one of those final conditions has arisen. If anyone here knows the Doctor, specifically the one known as Five, it appears he's been overtaken by some type of loss. He is clearly not himself and possibly dangerous to others. I cannot be certain what the cause it, but possession has been a problem here before. If anyone has an idea or has encountered him recently, I would appreciate you coming forward.

Do you or any of the other wizards know containment or restraint spells? Just in case such a thing does become necessary...

It may be. I don't know any such spell and I know you are aware of my doctrinal limitations. If it's something inhabiting his form, however, that might be easier. Phoebe left us some of those crystals that would trap something, but we'd need to confirm that it has the correct nature to trigger that particular trap.

Ah Felix, yes, I've heard your a resourceful man to speak with.

[Really? People actually refer to his as Five?! Really the older Doctor needs to let this go, but he's still introducing himself as Doctor John Smith, the Doctor for short and certainly in no relation to his younger self. Then again, he has his reasons that his younger self hasn't yet had to concern himself with... yet.]

Uh, I should be able to help fill in some of the blanks here at least. The Doctor, Five as you call him, has been taken over by a creature known as the Mara. They're from the Scrampus system, more specifically the Manussan and Sumaran Empires. They were brought here likely the same time he was, unexpectedly though I imagine.

You think it could be a possession?

What is wrong with him? Has he harmed anybody?

Hmm. But it would not be best to rely on it... Possible to seal him in a room?

If need be. I don't want to immediately jump to assaulting his person without cause, but I am...concerned. So it would best to be prepared.

Naturally. Do we know the extent of his abilities if something should go wrong?

Have you? Well, I hope I can live up to that. [And that's genuine surprise Ten can hear out his voice. Not that he hasn't tried to make himself something of a figure of authority in the castle, but it's still strange to him when it seems to work.

He's not fond of calling that Doctor by his numerical moniker but it's generic enough that more people in the castle could know who he was speaking about.]

That matches up with what little I know. He referred to himself as the Mara in conversation, though I'd never heard the name before. I'll have to see if I can dig up some in the library.

How did you come into this information?

[He's never met the elder Doctor, so the connection goes over his head entirely]

I'm not sure how, but something seems to have taken over his body. But no, as far as I know, nobody has come to harm. Although he did cause some damage in the lobby that very well could have.

I think it's likely. Nearly everything about him was different and he referred to himself by a different name. I suppose the alternative could be someone taking his form or simply having lost his mind but somehow I am not quite sure. We know Paradisa has done this kind of thing before. [He remembers Isis, ok. He was there]

[There's a muttered Chinese curse in response.]

It sounds like this is something best left to the wizards, then. Does he seem to recognize anyone?

Of that I am well aware. I remember body hopping. Twice.

Maybe Winchester can help. He's good with that sort of thing.

He remembered everything the Doctor knew about me, which is what led me to suspect possession. If it were an imposter, it would not have his recall. Or at least, it would be less likely.

It's not necessarily a magical problem. There may be scientific ways to brainwash a person, possibly?

Winchester? You'll have to catch me up to speed there...

I recall some slight mental capabilities, dating back to his last stay here, but I am not sure of the particulars any longer. I've never spoken about such things with him before.

Sam and Dean. Brothers and supernatural hunters. Only Dean's here right now, but he's got a lot of know-how in this area.

[YES, Simon knows all about scientific brainwashing.]

Quite possible, yes- technological or psychological... [Simon is half speaking directly to Felix, half musing to himself, mentally laying out possibilities.] It's also possible he's been infected with a sentient parasite of some sort... or even drugged.

[There's a smile in the Doctor's voice.] It came from a creditable source so I have no doubt that you will be able.

We, uh, chatted about it recently, The Doctor and I, a few days prior to the possession. Should have had an idea that they would lead to trouble but he thought he had them contained. [And they had gotten side-tracked with other matters but he didn't need to mention that.

Even if Felix had met the elder Doctor, he's not been overly forthcoming with who he actually is. Not that he's trying to be secretive or mislead but he does have his reasons.]

Perhaps it might be a good idea to make notes of such things for all people here and be ready in case such possessions do happen...

Why do you think I've insisted on detailed reports for all our members. But it's far harder to ask things of strangers who have no reason to trust me, or at least not enough to detail their weaknesses in writing.

We could always ask them for their powers and from there determine any weaknesses ourselves.
