what the fuck.
so the midnighter is all like, roaming the hallways (or roaming the ceilings when ground is not available) and looking out for stray monsters and velociraptors and tigers that he can lay the smackdown on. after coming out of some random room covered in god knows what, he finds a bunch of these weird ducks standing there.
he stares at them. and then moves on.
BUT THEN THEY FOLLOW, making weirdly terrifying quackcroaks. ]
Shoo. Go away.
[ do the ducks give a fuck? of course they don't. they continue to follow him. through hallways, across walls, over random fences and wading in random pools, watching as he fights... whatever is available to fight. and occasionally squawking and croaking and quacking at him.
obviously this is a sight that you should happen upon rn. ]
