[Tess shadows him as he moves to the chair, ending up behind him, still standing. She puts her hands on his shoulders to massage, gently, just enough pressure to work out the knots in his muscles. He's had less of those these days –– chalk it up to peacetime and new mattresses and whatever you want, but life without sore shoulders is also a life less exciting.
