Today I have been in this place for a year. There is still much I do not understand about its ways as well as the ways of the people who live here, including all of you. There are times where I think I am adjusting, where I think I am understanding, but then something happens and it is clear that I am not.

I am not sure if I will ever understand.

Maybe in the glasshouse? I have no idea where roses might grow wild here, perhaps you should wish for some.

I would not want to steal... and I do not know if wishing would be as meaningful. I will search and if I cannot find any, perhaps I will do this.

I think probably the thought behind the flowers is the most important thing.

Unless you think there is another flower she personally would like better. Roses are sort of a no-fail romantic gesture.

You have a few options, but I think you should give her the roses, and then, in a few weeks, once she feels better, talk to her about your feelings. If you do not tell her, she may never know.

I do not know what to say... I would like to be forthcoming but I do not know what words to use.
