The Doctor, the older for those that know there are two – John Smith for those who don’t, was in search of something very, very important.

The TARDIS had been searched high and low. No pot, cubby, or planter had been left unchecked at least twice.

When that most reasonable locations had yielded no results he’d also checked the console room – both of them, his room, the library, the laboratory, and the Zero Room for good measure. He even took a couple of rooms out of storage just to be sure.

Still, none could be found.

The thought had crossed his mind to wish for some but he wasn’t quite that desperate… yet. To trust the Castle with something this important was always a gamble, but after the events of the past week, he felt it even less in his favor of having it arrive successfully.

Now in the Castle kitchen he searched the cupboards and drawers.

Frustrated, he pulled the journal from his pocket and asked, “Why can I not find any?!”

[ The Doctor turns from the cupboard he's searching to see Will. At first he brightens, happy to see the young man again. Then he sees what's in the boy's hand... A hand that's extended to him.

He looks from the boy to the celery and back again. Face clearly in confusion. ]

[ The Doctor looks at the celery again and curls his nose. ]

But... it's celery.

[When Ten opens one of the castle's cupboards, a hoarde of streamers flush out, followed by the sound of noisemakers and one (1) tan pony. Happily, he throws some celery in the Doctor's direction, before pulling out his accordion, playing a happy tune.]

[London had wandered to the kitchen in search of food, since obviously it wasn't going to deliver itself. The sight of the tall guy in the suit rummaging through every cabinet is only slightly unsettling, and she tilts her head and watches him search.

It's not until after he poses his question to the journal that London finally speaks up.]

Mmmm... Could you tell me why you want to give me celery? Usually people say I'm skinny enough.

[ The Doctor deftly jumps out of the way as the streamers come towards him. Eyebrow cocked, he tilts his head in wonder as to why that would happen. Streamers? Noisemakers? A pony throwing... was that really celery?! And playing accordion.

When the song is done, the Doctor claps in appreciation. ]

Brilliant! Marvellous! Really, simply... er - well, brilliant!

[ He stops clapping and leans in. ]

I think you've got the wrong chap though. Sorry 'bout that.

Tea!

You know? A good cuppa tea! Normal tea, that is.

I've found green tea, white tea, black tea, oolong tea, herbal tea, rooibos tea, mate tea, blooming tea, and tea blends. There is caffeinated tea, decaffeinated tea, iced tea, hot tea, leaf tea and bagged tea. I have found a tea of every colour, for every flavour, for nearly every culture. But... BUT!

I have yet to find just regular tea!

[There's whistling coming from outside the kitchen, a happy and jaunty tune, that gets louder, obviously, when the Doctor walks into the kitchen.

In seeing himself, he grins.

Hello! Finished turning the TARDIS upside down, did you?

[ Hearing his younger self come in, he turns and glares at the other man. ]

You! What did you do?!

[Something odd occurs to London just then.]

What kind of tea is regular tea?

We-ll... they're okay... We-ll, not really okay. Sorta like drinking flavoured water when you can drink the good stuff right from a natural untainted spring.

You know, it's regular. Normal. Proper.

[ He pauses. ]
