Fifth Flight

[firethroat]

[A baby dragon who will eventually grow up to be the respected Firethroat has stumbled and tumbled her way into the lobby. She currently is attacking her journal. Sneaky thing thought it could follow her and get away with it. Well, it will learn better. Catching the offending book in her jaw, she shakes it viciously until it is bearing numerous holes. Firethroat then spits it out on the ground, and the open pages catch her childish voice.]

That will teach you.

[But then she sneezes, accidentally letting out a small flame which hits the journal. Whoops. People reading on their end might notice the edge is singed now.]

Albeit a very small one. But he's met enough in Paradisa to recognize one when he sees it. So far it's only attacking the journal.

Hesitantly--] And what, may I ask, did it do to you?

[firethroat]

[A two legged creature! Firethroat turns from the destruction to face this new arrival. At least it speaks intelligently.]

Won't go away.

[And that confirms that it can speak.]

That is one of it's most irritating qualities, but setting in on fire won't help, I assure you.

Why not? [Fire stops other things from moving.]

Because it has the tendency to grow back.

[firethroat]

[The baby dragon quirks its head.] Like a plant?

More akin to, hm, a lizard regrowing it's tail? If it were done through magic, in any case.

[firethroat]

[Baby Firethroat glances back at her tail.]

I haven't heard of magic tail growing. What creature does that?

Lizards. But as I said, it's not magic...that I know of.
