[Dictated; Backdated to the day after the heat plot

[Danny had been miserable during the last few days. Heat always made him bad tempered and restless. Even more so since he'd tapped into his ice core.

But in his misery he'd forgotten a few important details. Specifically he's completely forgotten what happened when he went a few days without releasing any of the cold energy from his core.

And so he had no idea why he had woken up today shivering. He'd quickly pulled on every sweater and coat he had, and was currently bundled under several hats. Finally he reaches for the journal.]

H-Hey, is the air conditioning broken now? It feels like a freezer in here.

[He doesn't notice the blue tinge to his skin or the icicles and frost patterns slowly appearing around him.]

Dude.

You're complaining about cold after the week we just had? Really?

It's not even that cold.

Yes it is! I mean, its like as cold as last week wasn't!

[Under Danny's hands frost starts to creep across the edges of the journal. ]

I'm wearing a t-sh--

-- What is that.

Well I'm wearing five sweaters and a coat. And I'm still frozen.

What's what?

You mean you're not glad to have at least a little bit of cold after that heat wave?

On the journal. What are you doing?

A little bit would be fine. I never asked for the arctic!

Trying not to freeze? [Danny hadn't noticed the frost yet. ]

Is it really that cold?

Huh. Maybe you just got used to being really hot!

And not succeeding.

Isn't that just what I've been trying to say?

Look at the journal.

Yes! Its freezing here!

[Danny looks down... and immediately thumps his head onto the table. Ignoring the frost that spreads out from his touch.]

Not again.

Try going outside! Ooh! I'm sure there's a sauna somewhere in the castle. You could try that, too!

How is going outside supposed to help?

Sunshine? Duh!

Was that supposed to sound that ominous?

It was supposed to sound annoyed. [He sighs. ]

I'm just going to go out and find a nice quiet place with no one around to complain.
