The city will be the choice, I think. The chances of an altercation between the citizens and any seriously misanthropic future members may need to be dealt with, but there's a certain degree of safety out there: they wouldn't try anything among so many innocents. The schematics are almost done.

[Molotov is on this filter, but she's not entirely sure if he means a whole city, because that would be difficult and involved obscenely large amounts of explosives, more than could be placed inconspicuously unless one spent weeks doing it.

C-4, though other types of bombs can be helpful in making everything burn quicker.

One can usually wire several buildings in a night. I have never blown up an entire city, if that is what you are asking, but I also cannot conceive of a way to do that and still remain safe yourself. The blast zone would be far too large -- it would be impossible to have a safe range for detonation.

[She thinks about this for a moment, then adds an explanation:] I do not have powers or magic. I am sure an entire city would be easy if one did have those abilities.

That implies you'd have to be in the city to do it. Barring actual nuclear weapons, you could probably level a city with a few powerful missiles.

Of course. But missiles that powerful are difficult to find, extremely expensive, and an act that large would be difficult to successfully complete alone.

But most importantly, I have never been hired to demolish an entire city with missiles, and therefore have never had real vested interest in doing it. If someone paid me to do it, and it was not a city that I own property in, I would certainly consider it.

I do enjoy my career.

I use C-4 whenever the opportunity presents itself, which is less often here. Though I did take out three buildings... mmm, a little over six months ago? Right before the whole pirate world change.

I think the castle itself is a better start. Regardless, I have no interest in learning how to escape the castle. Or this world. There are things I want to know, but how to get out is not one of them.

How to get losses back. [It's irrelevant now, but still something she'd like to solve.] Why us instead of others. Why some of us stay for years on end, and others leave within weeks.

[She hesitates before adding:] How to stay here.

Oh, no, quite the contrary. My world is wonderful, and my life there is quite enjoyable. But I have something here that I cannot get there, and I do not wish to give it up. Losses are an acceptable exchange for living in a magical castle and possessing the one thing I could never possess at home.

I do not know who that is. Does he want to stay too?

No, he claims to want Paradisa's power for himself or find some way to get his revenge against it. Had I been from a few years ago, I might have wanted to do the same.
