I should probably leave some sort of note to myself if I ever leave and then return here.

Well.

I woke up here after sending Sam to the Arcade. This is the first time I've been here to my knowledge. Programs are real - well, they're more than just lines of code on the computer. Look after Sam. Check in on Flynn. [It would be a bad day if Alan forgot who or Sam were. A bad, bad loss to get. Possibly the worst, actually.] And whatever you do, don't trust Clu.

What are your plans for the future? Here, how many months - days, even - can you plan ahead for?

What happens here doesn't seem to have much of an impact on life - but that was before people came back to the castle with memories, instead of having forgotten.

Not really. Mostly I plan on being gone when I wake up, but I try to at least have a few things to do so I don't get too bored.
