A ceathair - erin go bragh!!
[there's the sound of laughter as Murphy cracks the journal open, as well as various crashing and swatting and -- well -- SHENANIGANS]
Oi! OI, shut up! Shut up shutup shutup, I'm doin' it. I'm doin' the thing. Put a fuckin' lid on it.
[AHEM. a vaguely thicker-than-usual Irish brogue drifts over the journals]
Arright. Top o' the Mornin' to ya, Paradisa. Name's Murphy, an' y'might've heard my brother Connor offerin' up th' church in town as a safe place for y' to all come crash th' other day. T' those of you tha' haven' found a haven yet, we've still got room, an' yer all welcome.
But that ain't what m' here t' talk t'y' 'bout. [a pause that is definitely not him taking a swig from a bottle of beer, oh goodness no, not at all. and certainly not his fourth already]
What m' here t' talk about is twenty-four hours near an' dear to my little green Irish heart - St. Paddy's Day. I could spend all day tellin' ya 'bout St. Patrick an' how he was a shinin' example of th' grace'a God 'mong the people, an' all th' good he did - or what he means fer Ireland as a whole, an' how ultimately th' message of th' day is t' spread love t' your fellow man same's God'd want ya to do, an' not judge anyone lest y' be judged yerself --
[he dodges something, and there's a smash quite near to the journal. dishwater leaks onto the journal pages]
-- FUCK OFF! I'm GETTIN' TO IT --
[AAAAAAA-HEM]
... but really we all know th' real point of it is t' get together with friends, eat a lotta good food, drink all th' beer we can get our hands on, an' have ourselves a good time so we remember life don' always hafta suck.
An' then, maybe t'morrow we can all see 'bout drivin' the black pieces a' shite outta th' castle same as good ol' St. Pat drove th' snakes outta Ireland. C'mon down, m' brother's cookin' fer everyone and I'm in charge'a the beer. Everyone's Irish t'day, no matter what'cha look like, where yer from, or what'cha believe in.
... Okay, Roc, m'done, y'can keep messin' with his shit, now.
((OOC: SAINT PAT'S PARTY at the church! Come and tag yourselves in!))
