[ Dictated into the journal (my earlier in the day, you know, when it's still actually the 13th ]

You know, I seriously thought I was going to end up stubbing my toes like half a dozen times tonight, but somehow I've really lucked out today. Didn't so much as scrape a knee.

Speaking of which. What's with the lights out deal? I kind of had to go hang out on the roof all day, and you know it really didn't do a lot to help with the lighting situation. I think now would be a good time to consider investing in backup generators. Just a thought I'm tossing out there.

[ Yeah, that sincere response kind of catches Peter off guard. ]

Generators? I'll chip in to get one if it will help with the lighting.

Right! Yeah, that. I just said that, didn't I? ... Not sure how much they'd actually help, to be honest.

[Steve is just unsure facing at this forever.] If you don't think they'll help, why did you suggest it?

Oh. [He's quiet for a few seconds.] In that case, hi. My name is Steve.

[ He feels like he just kind of disappointed this guy and feels bad for that. Man. ]

Peter Parker. Nice to meet you.

[A little. He wanted to help. It's kind of his life story.]

Have you been around here long, Peter?

Over a year and a half now. Unfortunately.

That bad? [This is not promising for him. Mostly Steve just sympathizes.] Sorry to hear it.

[ Pausing to think about it for a minute. ]

Yeah, that bad, but thanks.
