ninth dream
[being a Pokemon is a very harrowing experience. he's been running away from hopeful trainers sicing their Pokemon on him ever since they hit land. but then Kermit remembered what Luna said about trying to make a sign. he can't wish for anything, so it takes him a few days' planning and thought to figure it out.
today, he's finally managed to follow a maid into a hotel room while she's cleaning, by posing as the occupant's Pokemon ... and grabbed a pad of hotel stationery and a pen in his mouth and booked it. now, out in the lobby, he plops down in a corner and attempts to write his note.
these little Politoed hands are not designed for writing. It's not going well.]
…… POLI. [see icon.]
((OOC: Come bother a not so wild Politoed! He's meant to be caught by Sam Flynn, but you can totally thread with him before it goes down.))

Without warning, Litwick piped up and started to walk towards another Pokemon, looking pretty excited.]
Hey! Where are you going?
[She followed after the creature, coming to a stop in front of one that resembled a frog.]
Oh, hi. I didn't see you there.

Trotting on over!]
Kermit?

Poli. P-politoed.
[he drops the pencil and holds up his stubby, mostly useless little hands]

-- and this is NOT FUN, Luna.

We're not here to hurt you. I was just coming after my pokemon here.

She lies down next to him.]
I am sorry to hear that. Hast thou attempted to follow a human resident? The human natives are inclined to leave thee be if they believe thou belongest to somepony else.
no subject
Because that's how this works, right?]
Threadjack ;P
He's just watching. He hasn't seen this frog Pokemon before, and Sam wants to catch it. But it's in the hotel lobby - doesn't that mean it has an owner? Can you even catch other people's Pokemon? It's too late to warn Sam against it, as the ball's already been thrown.
Alan grimaces. This is not a very good idea, Sam!]

Tooooed.

I'm trying that sign idea you mentioned on the ship, but writing is a lot harder than I thought it'd be with these stubby little fingers.
YAY TRONCAST.
by the time he does notice, he lets out a little distressed croak -]
POLI--!
[and ssssccccckoomp. Gotcha! Politoed was caught! Would you like to give a name to your captured Pokemon?]

I can write a little using my mouth; unfortunately, I am severely out of practice in writing with such methods. [by a few thousand years, probably. Also Rapidash physiology is different from that of MLP ponies.]

What's your name?
\o/ you get the whole family!
[It's the best name and he's still pretty fixated on the whole idea of the Grid, so. Still, he's not about to let his new pokemon be trapped in the pokeball for long, so he opens it and eagerly sits next to it.]

it's ... not too legible, but that MIGHT be a K]

There's gotta be something we can do.
no subject
he's not entirely sure what in the HEY just happened to him, so he's a little shellshocked.]

Okay, so I'm guessing it begins with a 'K'. I'm Bonnie and this is Litwick.
[the Litwick waves excitedly.] Do you need help?
