[And with that sap done, she'll finally be given the gifts she's owed, by others and the castle itself. They were waiting for her until she had given out herself, and she's quite overwhelmed by everyone's kindness. What she wasn't expecting though, even after hearing of others receiving things from back home, was to see a familiar pink face scurrying about her room this day.

She hoists him up on her shoulders and takes him out to the lobby, feeding him bits of fruit and dictating into the journal.]


Seems the castle didn't forget a gift for me after all. Everyone, I'd like you to come to the lobby and meet an old friend of mine form back home. I'll be on the lobby. Oh, and bring small bits of food, if you would.

[When you show up, a small, pink monkey will be on her shoulder, being as adorable as possible. He'll wave at you when you come by, but will otherwise cling to Alleyne's braid and eat happily.]

[Aradia was chillin' in the game room, readin' a book, when suddenly a red and green gift box appears out of nowhere and falls in her lap.] Oof-! What the...

[But then she reads the tag, and then she opens it, and then she gets SUPER DUPER EXCITED. There's a few minutes of general fangirling mercifully not recorded by the journal, before she finally takes the thing out to dictate a thank you.]

Well, I just wanted to make sure it was noted down right so people could reference it easy, but I'm glad you like it all. I figured it and the dagger would suit you well, especially since you couldn't come with us.

I found the materials for it there; part of what we traversed was volcanic, and it was of perfect shape and edge to be formed into a knife. I know you and your race fight well, so let it serve you well. Just be careful, it is quite sharp.

[Ruu perks his ears and face up, turning to face the passerby, waving a bit and squeaking happily and softly. His tone is gentle and friendly, eyes wide.

Alleyne takes notice a second later, her own ears perking up, twitching a bit as she looks at you curiously. She'll watch for now, knowing it's not her that's being spoken to right yet.]

[It doesn't take her long to tilt her gaze to the monkey's owner, giving her a warm smile.]

[Ruu clings faithfully to Alleyne, happy as can be in his spot.

The elf tilts her head and nods a bit, tone soft. She feeds him a small bit of fruit and pats his head.]

Ahh, Ruu? He is, the castle seems to have been nice enough to return him to me. I've not seen him in almost a year.

[It is strange to her, that she has been here for over two years and yet... not here for a year of that, in Paris.]

This is my first, ah, Christmas, was it? It wasn't something celebrated back home, but it was also the first holiday here that I'd experienced that had no ill will behind it.

[Ruu climbs up on top of Alleyne's hat and wiggles his tail at you happily, being quite the gentleman]

[Taking that hand and shaking it warmly, Lilith seems more than happy to stay and pass the time with an elf and her monkey.]

[Alleyne's shake is firm and professional, ears relaxing a bit as she talks]

Not as big as back home, but it's the job I've always had and the one I take pride in. I don't particularly mind watching everyone, so long as they've drive to improve themselves.

But what of you, surely you've an important role to play, too?

I'm a doctor, I help in the clinic whenever I can, and I help my husband to run the church.

[Though she considers this no more or less important than any other job.]
