They're small, delicate, five-petaled flowers that adorn flowering trees in early spring. Rain or strong wind will pull them down off the trees, so you only have a few weeks at most to enjoy them. As they fall, they often gather in crevices nearby. It's a little like watching snow collect on the ground.

I like the pink ones the best.
