picking up the pieces now - where to begin

[today, anyone looking for him - or not, even! - will find Five in the library, combing and raiding the stacks for anything pertaining to the ruined tower Felix expressed interest in. he's got maps and stacks of books and his copy of the old journal all spread out on a table, poring through them all. his Eevee, Nyssa, is sleeping soundly in the sun on one of the window seats.

there's also a pitcher of lemonade and a plate of watercress finger sandwiches sitting on a small folding table nearby, because you can't get food on the books, no no.]

Well, things have certainly been rather non-stop lately, haven't they? I feel like as much as we've been through, I've not done a thing at all in the way of keeping up on things. Well, other than bringing Legato his coat. [ahem] Yet again, the things I think of and mean to do keep getting pushed aside in favor of more immediate events ... I feel as though there are at least a few trains of thought that I've completely and totally lost, and need to go back and try to pick up, now that things are ... well ... passably normal.

Anyone else having this problem, perchance?

Oh, and -- for those of you working with Felix on his latest project? I'm in the library, going over some things, if you'd care to join me.

Yes, of course. Felix and I have been talking about what I could do to help add to the wards and everything they're trying to add to the tower.

I suppose you're right. They just know it's a general safe haven here in Paradisa if things get rough, which can move about the grounds and looks bigger on the inside.

Who else has he been talking to? He's got some sort of secret he seems very pleased with.

Come visit him anytime if you want to see him. I could use seeing some other faces around here too. [She sounds vaguely sarcastic, but it's actually sincere - it is tiring, keeping an eye on Legato. And she's somewhat mollified by the explanation anyway.]

I can't actually keep him from filtering on the journals. So he could have a secret, for all I know. What do you want to bet he's keeping in touch with Zelman?

He's a vampire, he's seriously mentally skewed and dangerous, he's got red hair and red eyes and little regard for humanity. He used to kind of be Legato's boss but who knows what happened there?
