Alec's back. I'm taking him to the Lux.

And for the record? He's not. It's just something that happens sometimes around here. Sometimes people from different universes have the same face.

[she waits for a bit, but eventually writes:]

Yeah, sorry. I just wasn't expecting that.

Do you... do you think he has the old journal or did he just get the new one?

[Her fingers rub against her forehead as she exhales half a laugh.]

I don't know. Hell, I didn't tell Dean I died and then when he came back with that bit of information -- it just... [It was horrible. As usual.]

If he asks, tell me - if he doesn't ask, he deserves a fresh start. I'm not going to burden him with that.

Not now, at least. [Considering she ended it with Alec the first time he was there, she wasn't about to just drag him into it all.]

Keeping secrets around here tends to bite you in the ass a lot worse than home.

[there's a pause]

Wanna talk about the Dean thing?

Or it'll get forgotten in place of dealing with the fact that he's got a younger version of himself wandering around.

Maybe it's a Manticore thing, but that's always something Alec seems to take better than Dean.

Did he ever tell you about the shapeshifter that went on a murdering spree wearing his face? He's got a reason to be distrusting.

I do and, I'm not comparing Alec to Dean, I'm just explaining why Dean might have issue with it.

No, I get it. It's not his fault. And I could have dropped that bomb a little gentler.

He's also been gone for almost three months and came back after being home for who knows how long. [She knows it's not Max's fault, but Jo's pretty sure she's not the best person to go explain anything to Dean right now.]

How the hell am I supposed to know? All I know is that he's got this face, he's had it since the day he was born, and it just happens to be yours. His twin had it too.

He's changed, but I think he'll be alright eventually. It's just a lot, I guess, going through this and then being home to back to this.
