[Jade's journal was always silent. Lacking voice, Jade didn't make noise. However, those who knew him might have noticed, over a certain period, that he had been decidedly inactive.

However, today found Jade finally opening his eyes, crusty and bleary as they were. He stared at the ceiling with confusion before he looked around. After convincing himself to move, he sat up in his bed and examined his room, frowning. It seemed to be midday, but something felt... off. He wasn't sure what, but he left his bed to go shower and clean up before he snatched up his journal and left the room.

He found himself famished and in the kitchen. After about a good twenty minutes or so, Jade settles down with some curry and a cup of coffee.]

'It would seem that I've been asleep. Does anyone have any idea how long? It feels more than just a night.'

[OOC: Jade's return! He is available for interaction either in the kitchen or over the journals!]

Oh! Jade! [Ray's voice is somehow cheerful and concerned, all at the same time.] I -- I don't know, but the last time I remember seeing you was during the flood, so ... it's been at least a month.

Are you okay? You're not in the clinic, are you?

[Jade blinked as he left the spoon of curry in his mouth and wrote back.]

'That's a concern. I was unconscious for a month?

I'm in the kitchen.'

[There are so few people in the castle who regularly write their words rather than speaking them that Phoenix doesn't have much trouble recognizing the handwriting. Right, he met this guy back at Purim....]

I don't have a clue how long you've been out, but you missed a bunch of people getting turned into princes and princesses this past week.

You were, yeah... did something happen? I mean, did you get hurt? Or did you just ... kinda fall asleep and stay there?

'Luna. It's good to hear from you as well. I do hope everything has been well.]

'I'm unsure. I went to lay down for a nap and I suppose I simply did not wake up. Fortunately, Dist hasn't done anything in my absence. It's been as sleepy as I have.'

[There's a happy squeal from somewhere nearby.]

Well enough, if one were to ignore the part where I and a few others were trapped within a dream labyrinth.

There were riddles and illusions we had to overcome, whilst our counterparts in the waking world were sent on a quest of sorts.

...I must admit, I cannot fathom the reason why this occurred - beyond providing a crucible to test and strengthen our bonds of friendship.

I would assume either that or simply the castle was bored~

[a sigh] That seemeth to be the case, no matter what the castle doth or doth not do.

Oh, geez. Well, I'm glad you weren't hurt, at least. Dist, is that a Pokemon, or something? I ended up with one, too.

'I doubt I can be hurt from some oversleeping. And yes, Dist is the Togepi I can't get rid of.'

[At the question, Jade blinked and Togepi munched on some food nearby.]

'Kitchen.'

[and there's a flash of blue light as she teleports to a spot right outside the kitchen. Trotting right in with a smile and. Yessss! It's the Togepi!]

[The Togepi trills excitedly and waves it's little arms back and forth at the sight of the pony.]

'He won't leave, and I've been able to train it some. It's less of a bother now.'

[hee. The pokemon totally gets a nuzzle.] Thou rememberest me!

[oh right. Jade. She turns to him.] Hast thou truly been asleep for over a month?

[no, no, it's okay. Jade understands the importance of... that egg thing. Ignore him all you like while he continues on his drink.]

'So I've been told, and I can't remember much of anything recent.'

[sorry. Jade just isn't as cute as the egg thing.]

Nothing truly earth shattering has occurred, if we were to ignore the roles many of us played in that farce of a pony tale. I do believe a wedding took place and a whole group of residents went out to the woods for some camping trip or another.

'Well, I suppose I didn't miss much, then.'

[The mute Colonel sipped at his tea again and sat back.]

'I did hear about the antics involving princes and princesses, however.

[and she's letting the Togepi play with a lock of her shiny, shimmering mane.]

Be glad thou wert not part of it. I can only listen to so many complaints regarding the dresses and the shoes.

[She might as well have given the Togepi the single most amazing thing it had ever seen in its little life.]

'Oh, I can imagine. I'd hate to have to do anything about rescuing anyone.'

Verily? Or art thou the type to rescue somepony in addition to complaining all the while?

Well, I'm glad you're okay, then! ... What's he do? I don't think I saw any Togepi while I was there.

'Thank you for the concern. As for what Dist does, he apparently can use Metronome, but he's done little to prove this yet.'

'Were you apart of it then?'

'I might complain if I'm forced, of course.'

Yeah. Unfortunately. I was in a dress for a few days.

[You can't hear Jade's laughter.]

'How unfortunate'

Metronome? Oh, neat! ... My Litwick can't really do anything anymore, but that doesn't mean she's not still good company. Plus? She's made of wax, so when she and Blue play, she doesn't really get hurt.

Yeah. Before that, I was a mermaid.

[A pause; then, plainly.]

It sucked.

[There's noises of Jade laughing this time. It's not really laughter, but some wheezing.]

Yeah, she's my pokemon....she looks like a little purple candle. Ghost-type, of course.
