[It had been odd -- an otter in the clinic, but it was where Jo insisted on being. Spike had been hurt, again, and Chase was seemingly missing. She wasn't having any luck looking for him as an otter, so she figured if he was around, he'd show up for a shift at the clinic eventually.

Instead, Jo wakes up from her spot on the ground. She'd curled up in her otter-shaped self on the tile to take a nap. Now she is very much awake and very much aware of just how cold the tile is.]

Oh... no.

[the sheet she had been curled up on is now being tugged around her body. quickly. she reaches for her journal and glances around the room and hopes that Spike is sleeping.]

So... I'm human again. [Jo whispers to the journal.]

(ooc: over the journal or in person if you're in the clinic...)
gottaknockhard: (remember what it was like)

in person;

[Spike had actually been sleeping a lot. For weeks, it felt like, and only recently he couldn't stand it anymore. What had tied him to yet another clinic bed did nothing but perpetuate his insomnia.

So it's just her luck that he catches sight of her, and identifies who she is the moment she talks to the journal. Why should he be surprised that the castle isn't done with him yet? Either that, or Jo has some strange ideas about cheering him up. (But then, he had a suspicion the otter he kept seeing in his dreams has something to do with it...)

He speaks up, humor lacking in his voice, but the words at least sound like him.]

Not the visit I was expecting.
valuedstrength: (b: adorable)

That's great, Jo. [A beat.] Why are you whispering?
valuedstrength: (b: back in the world)

[personal profile] valuedstrength 2012-05-13 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Why not?
valuedstrength: (b: jitters)

[personal profile] valuedstrength 2012-05-13 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
[THE MOST AWKWARD SILENCE EVER.] .... Oh. Do you want some clothes? I can bring them. I mean I owe you one.
valuedstrength: (b: you know they adore you)

[personal profile] valuedstrength 2012-05-13 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
[HE WOULD NEVER. HIS BRAIN THANKFULLY SHUT OFF DURING AWKWARD SILENCE TIME.]

I'll take care of it then. Just remind me to make sure the castle fixes the door later. [Or else obviously he'll make a go at it.]
gottaknockhard: (jail)

[personal profile] gottaknockhard 2012-05-13 12:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[At least the sheet helps take away some of the embarrassment of being caught with another idiotic injury. Jo is always so considerate.]

Welcome back to the land of the tall.
wastheexample: (May the odds...)

Dictated forever

[personal profile] wastheexample 2012-05-13 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh good, you've stopped being an otter.
thehistorian: (« you » ● can only move)

[dictated]

[personal profile] thehistorian 2012-05-13 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
You're... human again? What were you before?
gottaknockhard: (tone deaf)

[personal profile] gottaknockhard 2012-05-13 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[Maybe he's just visiting because he likes their beds.]

I could get a nurse over. There's a button for that.
gottaknockhard: lonesheep (dns) (cactus man)

[personal profile] gottaknockhard 2012-05-13 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Can't say I blame you.

[He'd probably take the sheet too.]
gottaknockhard: (noodles)

[personal profile] gottaknockhard 2012-05-13 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well, she does make it look pretty fashionable.]

That really puts things in perspective.
gottaknockhard: (see what we'll find)

[personal profile] gottaknockhard 2012-05-13 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[Should have thought of that sooner. When the subject inevitably comes around to obvious questions, he can't quite shrug it off, but he'll try his best to delay an explanation.]

I was craving some Jell-O.
wastheexample: (So effing bored)

[personal profile] wastheexample 2012-05-13 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
So how was it? Being another species? A part of me is morbidly curious.
