[GLaDOS]
Hey, thought you oughta know, there's a guy going around telling everyone you're a mass-murderer. This gonna be a problem?
[/GLaDOS]
[backscratching out of the way, CLU makes his way to the game room. he might not be part of one of these machines, anymore, but it's easier to think in here, somehow, surrounded by all the computers. there's a little more order in here, even if it's just a suggestion - that around him, there are perfect programs running themselves the way they're supposed to. he's got a datapad in one hand that he wished up - it looks like a transparent tablet - and is already making a list]
Lessee. Four towers, seven floors plus the basement. That's twelve. ... Shouldn't take too long to script ...

He's gotta know what CLU's up to to do what he's promised.
The program either doesn't know his journal's open or is taunting and baiting them.]
CLU
I suppose the moron's been busy.
It's just a minor inconvenience, really, considering I'm intending to fool those humans. [ Being sarcastic was second nature to her, but she couldn't help being a little pleased that he had reported back to her. ]
GLaDOS, to end
This isn't my first save file, though. Trust me - there are ways you can make that work for you if you play your cards right.
[yep, he sure is mixing metaphors. it's what he gets for being a program cloned from a User's mind]
[only fair since Rinzler was creeping on Flynn, LOL]
with problems this big, unfortunately, you have to start small and work your way up, or the whole system crashes. if he were really trying to bait them, he'd be writing everything in the journal, too, not just on his tablet]
CLU
And what, exactly, do you propose? [ Thankfully, she understands his sayings; funnily enough, the human ones were more familiar to her. ]

[he may have decided to let Flynn have his one chance, but that doesn't mean he can't work on his own projects in the meantime]

Well, hey, nowwww. How'd you get way up there?
no subject
That moron couldn't be trustworthy if his life depended on it.

Humans are so easily fooled, yes. Especially when trauma is involved. With the way he's acting, they'd probably all believe me.

Especially if someone were to tie somethin' traumatic into it all at the same time.
[he's just saying. if something bad happened to Wheatley and she wasn't directly involved ...]
no subject
Hmm... Yes, if anything big enough happened to that moron...
[ There were millions of bad things that could happen. Sure, maybe the fact that 'wishing' for dangerous objects did hinder her a little bit, but there were lots of other ways to traumatize an idiot. ]
I suppose you don't know if he has any close allies, do you? [ She tended to stay detached from her allies, but Wheatley seemed to take things very personally... She could use that to her advantage. ]

Edward climbed! Whatcha doin'?
no subject
[and he's scanning back through his memory. he did read the entire journal when he arrived, after all. cross-referencing Wheatley with any public contact he's had that could be considered close...]
There's a girl named Maya, by the look of it.

[Users. so freaking pointless. jeez]

[he gestures angrily to the game room door]
I didn't put up with riddles and strange requests and livestock to get a program who can't carry out a mission, Rinzler.
no subject
[Lowering his head at that, rumbling.] Failed you, Master.
no subject
Perfect. [ She sounds very pleased. ] This makes things easy.

[and no, he's not going to tell you when that's going to be. he's smiling, though, at least.]

You're very willing to come to my aid, aren't you? [ She can't help but wonder why. ]

His point is clear, though; he wants to work together. GLaDOS isn't sure how she feels about this, as she prefers planning things on her own. ]
If there is truly something you require in the future, I might consider it. [ Of course, she would consider it if it was an advantage to her... ]

[his tone's friendly enough, but -- if you really want to put the cards on the table like that and be backstabbers, he's more than happy to play that game, too]

Okay! Edward will show you!
