✿ 048 [backdated to afternoon]

[There's nothing strange about coming home to find that her room was empty. After all, Souji and Yosuke were both very busy people. But when she looked around... Yosuke's shoes and jacket were no where to be found, even though he was notorious for leaving both scattered across the room. Big Bro's crafting table was devoid of any model parts or sheets of colorful paper. A worry spread up her spine,and down to her fingers and toes. Suddenly anxious, she put aside her groceries, and began to examine the room more closely.

Their futons, gone.

Their clothes, gone.

Toothbrushes, combs, shoes, movies, things, any sign that they had been there at all-

All of it, gone.

Unsure of what else to do, Nanako stood in the center of the room, frozen and lost. When she felt the curious nudging heads of Nicola and the other cat... the cat that they had all bought together. As she kneels down to pet them both, she uses her other hand to rub at the corners of her eyes. No crying, no crying...

But really, she wanted to cry. Ever since Lilith invited Nanako to live with her all those months ago, Nanako had always had someone. Lilith, Abel, Yosuke, Big Bro.... Dad. There was always family.

However, for the first time in all those months, Nanako sat in her room and felt truly lonely.]


[after spending a few more hours in her room, Nanako has set up camp near Ms. Alexstrasza's tree. This is where she first learned how make daisy chains, even though she wasn't very good at it... She's gotten better though, and she's working slowly and diligently to make a long, sturdy chain. She pauses in her work, and pulls the journal closer to her. When she does speak up, her voice sounds a bit... meek]

Um... if anyone wants one... I'm trying to make flower jewelry outside by Ms. Alexstrasza's tree. So, if people aren't busy...

[she trails off, not quite sure how to ask for company without imposing on anyone. AND, as always, feel free to reply over the journal, or in person!]

Except a few minutes later, Evangeline kind of... appears from the tree's shadow.

She has a small box in one hand, and without saying anything at first, she sets it down on the ground and opens it.

There are cupcakes inside. ]

[YOU HEAR THAT SOUND? THAT IS THE SOUND OF HER HEART BREAKING. She mumbles out a soft 'okay' and continues her work when the journal closes...... BUT!!!!! she is completely surprised when Eva shows up unexpectedly.

So have a..... soft gasp and wide eyes as she suddenly appears. :< and then she looks curiously inside the box]

Are... you sure? I can really have some?

[ Meek tone, you say? she notices it but, rather than ask if something was wrong -- as it clearly was, Shiemi decides to take her up on her offer. This person sounded so young.. ]

If you wouldn't mind the company.. !

[ D'oh, she already extended the invitation, silly girl. Of course she doesn't mind! She backtracks a little: ]

C-can I ask where that tree is? I've only been here for a few days and I'm still learning my way around the castle, so..

[ Evangeline just kind of... casually waves her hand. Like "Go on," or maybe "Pshah." ]

Like I said. Too many for one person.

They were having a sale at the bakery I go to, that's all.

[oh! A voice she doesn't recognize! but she sounds really nice, so there's not the usual caution that Nanako would have when hearing someone new...]

Um, it's outside the castle, but it's not too far... It's a big tree with lots of flowers. [IMAGINE MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE LOCATION HERE, haha, i'm not sure exactly where it is]

[she nods slowly, and takes Eva at her word. Tentatively, she sets down her daisy chain, and stands up to look at the box better.... After a moment's deliberation she takes a plain looking pink cupcake. Of course she's super careful taking it out, so that she doesn't mess up the other ones, and looks up at Eva

Oh, I remember seeing that tree! I remember how pretty all of the flowers were.. I-I'll be there shortly!

[ And she totally closed her journal without asking her name or giving hers in return. Whoops. Nanako, you're in for a treat! She's going to bring Nii-chan with her so you can meet her adorable biffle. In a matter of minutes, there is a girl dressed in traditional Japanese clothing; kimono, geta -- the whole nine yards. She can probably hear her before she sees her as her steps are quite noisy.

Before she even reaches the tree, she's smiling and waving with growing enthusiasm. There's a small decorative satchel in her other hand that contains some delicious star candy, which she'll reveal soon. ]

[hooo, when Shiemi approaches Nanako's eyes widen! She's so pretty... and dressed so nicely, like she's going to a festival! Nanako stands up, and finds herself wanting to stand up straight! No slouching in front of someone who looks so nice]

H-Hi... [she waves, and looks a bit sheepish. She's just a little shy, she'll warm up soon enough]

[ All she can think; Nanako is the cutest little girl ever! She straightens up herself, smile never leaving her face as she pulls on the drawstring of the satchel she brought with her to reveal the candy. ]
