So what's the best place to hit up if I wanna go for a swim around here?

[Meanwhile, out and about in the city, Desmond is engaging himself with a nice, long run through the city -- and over it rooftops, as well. He can be found pretty much anywhere but the castle today, down on the streets like a normal person as often as he up on the rooftops like some sort of wayward ninja.]

[He doesn't have his hoodie on for once, having finally traded it in for a plain white t-shirt.]

There's a pool somewhere, I think. Not too up on the geography of this place yet.

[Steph's decided to check out the pet store to see what it is that a Very Big Dog would play with that doesn't involve bloodshed.

Desmond running around is kind of distracting, though. Whether she's witnessed his rooftop antics or not is unclear as she gives a wave. If he doesn't notice her, she'll just do that definitely not waving, totally just scratching my head thing.

Are we talking backyard pool for just chilling out in, or Olympic sized with a diving board and everything?

[seventeenth]

[He notices, though it seems like he might not, at first. He's sort of wrapped up in his own little world when he's like this, but he does notice her after a moment. He slows to a stop, smiling, lifts his hand to wave at her as well.]

[And because he's nothing if not social and friendly, he ambles towards her as well. As long as they're both out here, why not say hi.] Heya.

[Ezio is sitting on a roof, lazily watching the foot traffic below, contemplating a nap in the sunshine and spring breeze. Sounds like a great idea, as long as he doesn't, you know, roll off said roof.

But then comes a distraction! Is that a grandbaby on the roofs? It is!

Ezio lifts his fingers to his mouth to whistle, to get his attention.]

[seventeenth]

[That's a familiar sound. Desmond slows to a stop and looks around for the source of the sound. He's not at all surprised when his gaze falls on Ezio, but he hesitates before approaching the other Assassin. He's feeling a little Ezio-ish himself and he's not sure he's ready for that degree of awkwardness just yet. But a moment of focusing himself manages to push most of that away and finds himself more willing to approach Ezio properly.]

[He just walks with a bit more of a swagger than usual.] Hey, Ezio! [Desmond lifts his hand and waves, then begins to carefully hop from his roof on over to Ezio's.]

[Ezio watches his descendant curiously, having never seen him moving about "in the field", if you will. He's curious, to say the least, and he spends the moment Desmond takes making his way over to make note of how he moves.

Ezio waves back, and grins when he gets close enough.]

Salve, Desmond. How are you?

Hi. [Steph's not sure if this is less weird or more weird now that she's learned more about Desmond, who is indeed not a face snatcher.] You seem to be healthy and active.

[Oh, look. We have the same name. In different places.

...In any case, here's someone walking about the city, walking out of a nearby coffee shop with a cup of hot coffee just as the other happens to be running by.]

[And totally different personalities!]

[Desmond catches sight of Edgeworth just in time to flail and sharply swerve out of the way.] Woah, woah--! [He stumbles to a stop a few feet later and peers over his shoulder.] Hey-- you alright?

Well, I try to be. [It doesn't seem like he has to try very hard; he's bouncing lightly on the balls of his feet as he speaks.] Makes it easier to deal with... everything, really.

[seventeenth]

[The watching doesn't strike Desmond as particularly odd; Ezio is an Assassin, after all. Knowing their surroundings is sort of Thing with the Assassins.]

I'm alright. Glad that summer's here. [Though he feels weird and naked without his hoodie, right now.] You?

[assassino]

[He nods.]

Getting by. I'm glad that summer is here as well -- winter in Paradisa is an awful business.

To cold for your taste, I take it?

[assassino]

Much too cold. Have you spent a winter in Tuscany, or in Venice? It only gets so cold up in the mountains. Most years, Venice does not even see much in the way of snow. When I arrived here, I was shocked to find I could dive into it.

[seventeenth]

[Desmond laughs at the mental image. He can just imagine...] Next time you should try taking a leap of faith into a snowdrift.

[He laughs, almost incredulously.]

And be stuck in that cold? I don't think so.

[seventeenth]

The best part is trying to dig yourself out afterwards.

I am guessing America is snowy, then?

[seventeenth]

Parts of it are, but it's a pretty big country. New York gets snow every year, but some states don't get it at all.

[assassino]

I must admit, I still have not gotten around to looking at America on a map. I do not exactly know where those things lie.

Definitely. Guess that means you're settling in, uh--dealingly?

[seventeenth]

They're pretty far apart. It takes... I dunno, probably over a month to walk from New York to Texas.

[assassino]

I don't think that is too far. It took Leonardo and I just over a month to go from Florence to Venice by carriage.

[seventeenth]

More of less. I'm still not really used to the whole... [He gestures vaguely at his surroundings.] ... exploding marshmallows, fire-breathing dogs, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves-ishness of this place yet.
