33rd Death

[Dextera is out in town today and he seems to have picked up a pair of children this year - two twin boys around four years old. they're both leading him along and seem pretty content with themselves, although Dextera just looks plain nervous. he's never had to look after little kids, okay?

they get to about the center of town before one of them speaks up, tugging Dextera's sleeve]

"Daddy, can we go see the flowers again? They were pretty."

[Dextera seems like he's going to pull out the journal to answer his "son's" question when the other speaks up.]

"No, I wanna go get some candy!"

[the twins quickly decend into an arguement on what they're going to do next while the mute just looks confused.

<sub>[Never fear, Dextera. Ashura has a child too, the same from last year, roughly two or three years old. He was never sure of the age, but it was something like that. He currently had his and Felix's little boy against his hip, hoping this trip to town would help tire the babe out for an afternoon nap.

He sees Dextera with adorable twin boys and smiles some, coming over and clucking his tongue.]</sub>

Now now! If you two keep arguing, you won't get to see the flowers or any candy at all!

[the one who asked about the flowers immediately hides behind Dextera while the other one pounts, looking disappointed.

Dextera, on the other hand, looks pretty relieved to see Ashura. he has no idea what to do with these kids, aside from the simple things he knows humans needed.

so he's going to write something.]

I don't know what to do. [again.]

_{[He laughed and set his son down, the boy going to introduce himself in the way children do to Dextera's boy twin.]}

Hardly anyone does.

_{[He looks at the children.]}

If everyone behaves, we will get ourselves a treat and go have a nice time in the park.

[he seems a little less nervous around another child and introduces himself as Bakar. the other one seems pleased with the answer, which may come from Dextera's habit of being pleased when he got any answer.]

Okay! I can do that.

[and another comment from the dad.]

_{[Ashura's child, with his red hair, elfish ears, and one green and one fold eyes smiles brightly and introduces himself as Ryuga in a sort of voice that says he was just learning to speak.]}

All right then children, come on, let' get us treat.

_{[He smiles as Ryuga takes Bakar's hand and starts walking as Ashura comes to walk beside Dextera.]}

It may sound a bit... odd, but I think the best thing to do is think of them like puppies when it comes to the corralling thing.

[he just looks a bit more confused.]

I don't think I know what a puppy is.

_{[Well, that made things more difficult. He turned, calling a warning to the children, who giggled and came back closer, Ryuga holding both the twin's hands after thrusting his doll up at Ashura to take.]}

Be patient. That is most important. Their wants are simple, but do not give in to easily when they do not deserve it. And love them.

[he smiles a bit when the children come a little closer. despite his panic, Dextera did find them interesting.]

I think I can do that. [he read enough about love, so he should be able to love them.]
