♈ Aradia: Be the lusus. [backdated to Sunday]

[Ahh, it's a beautiful afternoon. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and Aradia has just woken up in her room at the castle - wait that's not right, isn't she supposed to be finishing up the outpost still? It didn't even bother to put her in her recuperacoon, it just left her slumped up against a wall, and there's something warm and squishy curled up in her arms -

- oh

- oh oh oh

It's the grub, it's the same grub. The little mac and cheese colored thing the castle gave her and Sollux last year. It squirms in her arms, beginning to wake up too, and then squints its little eyes and lets out a yawn that the journal transcribes as a small orange squeeeeak. - which finally pulls Aradia out of her silence.]

((ooc: open as an open thing! Shiki-mun - we can still do something if you'd like, I just couldn't wait to get started slfajdslfajk))

Just so you know, they get bigger when they harden.

Penises. Well, a penis.

So does he actually look like a bug?

[personal profile] shipper_on_deck 2012-05-23 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Odd.

Then again, maybe not so much. Human babies are rather weird looking too.

What Was That Squeaking Sound Aradia
Did The Castle Give You A Grub
Does This Mean That I Will Also Be Receiving A Grub

Right. All they do is scream and throw tantrums. Why would anybody want to raise a family is beyond me.

That's probably a good idea. [a giant worm nomming away on your not-quite-dead-yet body? No thanks.]

What do grubs eat?

Right, right-- your biological cycles are still a big foreign to me.

Bit of a cross between a human and a caterpillar, it sounds like, with a lot of extra oddities thrown in.

I imagine in personality and development, it's not overall too different from what I'm familiar with.
thehistorian: (« you » ● can breathe today)

That is a useful first step. Really, human babies aren't terribly hard-- feed them, burp them, change their diapers... for the most part. I don't imagine a grub is terribly different.
