[ Mama was a name Buffy thought she'd never hear someone call her, and then came Paradisa. It shook up Buffy the last time Joyce was here--she was new, she was adapting, and everything didn't seem quite real to her... but this time when she rolled over in bed and felt Joyce's little button nose press against her own and giggle, it was familiar. It was welcoming.

There's a teal smear of paint on the page, then one that's green and fades to red, then one of all sorts of colors before finally two little hand prints are pressed against it. ]
