Hey - does anyone know anything about gluing fur to walls? My dad totally made this look way easier.

[Admittedly, Alex does get some pretty stupid ideas, at a rate of maybe five per day. Papering her bedroom walls with hot pink faux fur? Not one of her better ones. It's part of her somewhat impulsive attempt to further recreate her own room back at home. But of course, Alex has no idea what she's even doing. That's why there's a drop of wallpaper glue seeping into the journal, and little tufts of pink hair littering the hall right outside her door.

[Mumbled: ] I know my wand's around here somewhere...

I may regret asking this, but why would you want to glue fur to the walls?

That is a strange thing to want to put on your walls...

Use super glue?

Yeah, well so's wallpaper if you think about it. I mean, really.

I'd have to use, like, fifty tubes of it.

...Uh.. That's kind of-.. an odd thing t' want to put on yer walls.

That aside though, what ya need is adhesive paint.

Maybe make a vat of it yourself?

Yeah, it's th' stuff they coat th' back of stickers and tape with.

I don't think it is quite as strange as fur. That is like putting an animal on your walls, wallpaper is meant for designs.

Yeah, except it's faux fur. I'd never put an animal on my walls, that's gross.

Hey, as long as wishing's an option, might as well take advantage of it.

Hmm. Didn't know they made sticky paint.

[Alex laughs right back.] Awesome! I had this stuff up in my room back home, it was totally sweet.

I don't trust it. Not from what I've heard. Besides it's more fun to make something, have pride in what you've done.

[She considers this for a minute.] How does someone even make glue?

Gum arabic, glycerin, and water.

Glyca-whats-it?

It's a polyol compound. You don't need to know it. You can get the stuff in town.
