[ written in a separate journal, hidden away for no one to ever see!! ]

I did not return to Masyaf as expected. What once was certain truths now have crumbled, leaving doubt and questions in it's wake. I do not know where I was all this time, or why the force behind this place allowed me to return. All I know is that I have gotten no further in my task to discover the truth of Paradisa, the path has only become more treacherous to travel.

[ He stops abruptly, bringing a hand to his forehead. The pain in his head flares, an unpleasant reminder of his second price. The castle is cruel. ]

I worry I will never be rid of this place. That it will never release it's claws from me, or anyone. Were we all doomed the moment we woke in this castle? Will we ever discover the purpose behind our capture? I doubt I will ever know.
