[ Rubbing sleep from her eyes, Arya steps into the shared sitting room. Spotting her mother, she walks up behind Cat and slides her arms in a hard hug around Cat's waist. ]

People say that this place can bring the dead here and give them life and that no one stays dead really. I didn't believe them, but then Robb showed up and he said... [ Her voice breaks. When she continues, she sounds like what she has always refused to be. A little girl. ] Are they with you somewhere? Sansa says they died a long time ago for her, but they're here now. Did you see them? Did they see you?
[ She doesn't cry. Some hurts are beyond even tears. ]
[ Once she has regained control, she writes a filter to Yuan. She observes the letters she printed as neatly as her handwriting allows.
Then she draws a thick black line across them. ]

[ She turns the idea over in her head before adding Sansa's name to the filter. She heard from her sister while she was lost. From Sansa, not Alayne. Arya prefers Sansa. Missed her even. And she likes Belle. Arya still thinks her vaguely touched in the head to fall in love with her captor, but she can overlook that flaw. ]
You said you wanted to learn to use a sword, right? I don't know if I'd be a good teacher, but I can show you what I know.
[ Her dancing master would have liked that, Arya thinks. ]
