Steph takes a deep breath before speaking.]

There really isn't any good way to announce this, but... Tim Drake died during the recent--whatever that was.

I was thinking that, while he's gone, we could do something for him. We being whoever feels inclined to join in, whether you know him personally or not. I'm sure a lot of us can agree that death isn't exactly pleasant. It'd probably make things easier for him if he had something he could look at when he got back. Kind words, welcome back wishes, stuff like that. He might not be in the mood to chat when he returns, but he'd at least have notes to read. Seriously, you can just write "welcome back" on a sticky note and that would be good.

I'm going to put a box at the bottom of the Ortus tower, so please drop off things there sometime in the next two weeks. Or just hand them to me--Stephanie--and I'll keep hold of them until Tim's back. I'd really appreciate it, and I know Tim will, too.

[What? Tim Drake was here? Dick's kid brother, right? The third Robin? He was here, and Roy didn't know?]

Shit. Tim Drake from Gotham City, right? Black hair, blue eyes, likes to wear red? He's dead?

[Man. If Dick ever finds out, he's going to kill Roy for letting his brother get killed. Even if he had no idea what was going on, and only just arrived.]

How'd he die? Shit, I can't believe it, he's only a kid!

[She never spoke to Roy much during his last time in Paradisa, but she recognizes his voice. Great. She's not sure if he remembers his last visit or not, but that's not really the most important thing right now.]

If you want to help distract me for two weeks, that would be peachy. Give me homework assignments or something.

Doing this instead of a funeral. Did anyone give you Paradisa 101 and the death speech?

[It was still hard for her to grasp that death here wasn't the same. That it had a time limit before it was undone. But a part of her was relieved. Especially since she really liked Tim. He was a good kid.]
