Are there wizards in the castle? Can they do lotsa magic? Not bad magic like monsters. And do they have beards? And pointy hats?

I'm a wizard, kind of? I have magic powers. No beard or pointy hat, but I don't have a beard because I shave and I could make a pointy hat if I really wanted one.

In my world, I'm not called a wizard, not really. I'm called a mutant, because I was born with a gene that gives me powers. My powers are just magic powers.

I pretty much just focus on something I want to have happen until it does. It's... a little complicated to explain. In simple terms, it's magic.

Mutant? Do you got two heads? [got lost halfway through that explanation]

[He laughs.] No, I don't have two heads. I look just like a regular person.

My best friend has powers too and he doesn't have two heads. You're like him!

Who's your best friend?

His name is Peter! He's older than me. But I get dreams where I'm bigger than him! They make my head hurt. [since he's on a kid!loss and all...]

Oh yeah? What kind of stuff can he do, if he has powers? [He's just going to assume he has weird dreams...]

He used to disappear a lot. And he was super strong one time, I saw him break walls! He was pretty scary.

But he saved me from a monster one time. He can make people better too! But he has to bleed on them. I think. He's kinda weird! [amused]

Disappear a lot? Like go invisible?

I dunno. I used to be really scared of him so he didn't tell me a lot of stuff.

In my world female wizards are commonly called "witches". I have seen a witch with a beard before, but it was brought on by magic.

Oh! I know about witches! But the one I met doesn't have a funny nose. Do you fly on broomsticks like the ones in my books?

Yes, but I'm not very good on them.

Is it really scary?

It's like riding any other vehicle: you have to have control and stay calm.
