Maya:

[At this moment, he probably won't be able to talk to her. It's enough to assume that Wheatley hasn't spoken to Maya in weeks. At least after he showed her the portal gun. Though, it was less about her individually. Wheatley would have seemed to have fallen off the face of the planet to everyone.

That's why Maya would eventually get random flowers at her door. Randomly. And with them, there'd be a little note scribbled:

I found that quote and it made me think of you. Because we are friends. And in separate bodies. Like the quote says. I hope you like the flowers. You don't have to worry because they're not poisonous, I checked them myself. They may not be safe to eat, though so I wouldn't try it.

[This was stupid. Because he lives right there. Literally. But Who knows whatever is on this idiot's mind? He hasn't spoken to anyone, please pay him a visit. :)]

[oh my gosh... For a while Maya just stares at the flowers before she reads the note once... twice... a few more times, before she smiles.

That dork. Of course she wasn't going to eat the flowers! (although now that he mentioned it... no wait, MAYA, DON'T) But she's smiling even more. That dork! She was afraid that he was mad at her, or avoiding her, or... something. But this note was painting a different picture, and it steeled her resolve. So, Once she set up the flowers in some water, and tucked the note into her pocket, she's marches off to find Wheatley.

Maybe he was avoiding her, but he obviously wasn't mad. That means that it was officially okay to go bug him until he talked to her :3

[Wheatley'd be doing... well nothing. When he'd hear the knock, he'd be in the middle of having some tea, like a true British man. Slinking over to the door, when he opened the door and saw Maya there, his eyes widened.

For a half second, he looked past her to see that the flowers were no longer outside of the door, and he gave her a nervous panicky smile. Seeing her there startled him.

And then he'd shut the door.]

"..."

[But don't worry! He'd open it again about a second later. He looks ever so slightly more composed.]

"I...! Uh! Sorry about that! Would... would you... would you like to come in?"

[heh, and when he opens the door she smiles. After all, you don't realize how much you miss a big ol' pale guy in a lab coat until he's standing there with that weird awkward smile.

But just as she raises her hand to wave and say hi-]

Um... yeah? But wait, why did you shut the door like that?

"I...uh... what? Did I?"

[This guy. He rubs the back of his neck.]

"If I'm honest, I wasn't expecting you there! I just uh... I panicked a little, love. I..."

[ It's been a while! After his stuttering he just looks at her and gives her that signature awkward grin. It isn't hard to tell in his face that he's happy to see her.]

"Oh this is a terrible reunion... this is definitely not at all like in the books."

[He laughs.]

[haha, aw now she feels bad. With his bumbling the smile is back and she shakes her head]

It's okay. I guess I shouldn't have just shown up out of the blue... I'll make sure to tell you I'm coming next time.

And maybe it's a terrible reunion because we shouldn't have been not seeing each other! [that is probably not proper sentence syntax, but Maya does not care] I was worried that you were mad at me or something.

"Nononono. It's fine, it's... really it's fine. You can come anytime you want. Except the dead of night. But then again, even then you can if you really want to. I've been getting some sleep but I'm usually awake, and the company is always nice."

[HNGH. That sentence structure. He manages to power through it.]

"Mad at you? Ohhhh nonononono. You..."

[He steps inside and gestures her to come in.]

"Did you uh... get the flowers?"

Alright, I'll remember that. [nooooot that she plans on coming over in the dead of night.......

although if he needs company, maybe she'll drop off some movies for him to watch while he works? she'll figure that out when she comes to it]

I did! They were really nice... and the note was really sweet. [dorky but sweet] Which is what helped me figure out you weren't mad. Sooooo, if you weren't avoiding me for that...

[after she follows him inside, she tilts her head to ask] What have you been up to.

"Ohhhhh, you know... What I've always been up to."

[He leans against the door, and sort of swings his head to follow her as she walks inside. He'd close the door a moment after.]

"Keeping this place in check! Safe really. Oh! Monitoring that woman I told you about and being sure to undermine anything bad she's got in store for anyone here..."

[He leads her to his table where he was having tea.]

"Would you care for some tea? It's delicious, you know. You-you should have some. When the most intellectual of peers speak, they speak over a good cup of quality tea."

{When Wheatley mentions that he's been keeping the place safe, she nods and gives her best determined face]

Ooh, I've been looking out for danger too! So far my patrols have been clear of creepy robo ladies. [well, she thinks.... problems occur when you're only given vague descriptions of the people that you're supposed to be looking out for]

[aw, and then she grins at the offer of tea]

Wow, how can I say no to an offer like that? I'd love some tea.

[He nods and begins to set it up.]

"Good."

[And as he runs over to get another cup.]

"How...how has Nick been feeling?"

[Hopefully he hasn't told Maya anything about his theories on Wheatley's... well... persona.]

"He hasn't ...told you anything about me, has he?"

[Aw man. He was supposed to wiggle that in really... really sneakily.]

[she'll just plop down in any open chair and siiiighs when Wheatley mentions Nick]

I haven't been able to talk to him about it! But, on the other hand he hasn't talked to me about it so... nothing, I guess.

[she wrinkles her nose a bit] But we'll sort it out, you don't need to stress out over it.

[He nods to himself. There's a long silence.]

"Mind if I... uh, ask you a hypothetical question?"

[optimystic]

[in the long silence she kind of fidgets in her chair until he finally speaks]

Sure! Ask away.

[wheatdos]

"I... I uh, I was wondering, you know- seeing that... I... uh... you d-do you...uh... do.... dooo.... you..."

[He spits it out.]

"D-Do you...by any chance... like anyone here, in a... in an affectionate manner?"

[He stands up straight and adjusts his tie.]

"You know... as in, a... a...uh..."

[He gestures with his hand as in he wants her to finish his sentence.]

"You knowwwww..."

[as Wheatley talks, she kind of leans forward. All the pauses and the waiting she's just like......... .......... ..........?

Until he finally spits it out and Maya kind of jerks back in surprise]

H-Huh? Geez, what brought this on all of the sudden? I mean, it's not something I think about...

[but then there's a pause, and it almost looks like she's trying to put the pieces together. Oh wait.... wait a second, she gets it. Asking about Nick? Springing this question? ahaha, she waves her hand awkwardly]

Are you asking if I like NIck? It's not like that... we're just really good friends!

[wheatdos]

[He shook his head suddenly, and suddenly laughed. really loudly.. At that moment, he came to her with some tea, and set it in front of her.]

"Wh-what? Oh... nononono, N-Nothing to do with him."

[He quickly adds]

I just asked because I will be demanding a... uh, large amount of time from you. I figured that it-it'd be pretty bad if some lucky bloke came stomping to my door... ask-asking for you."

[He's sitting on the ground, on the other side of the coffee table in front of the couch she was on.]

[aaaah, she nods in understanding. More testing, huh? She's excited to hear that! Especially since she's been itching to play around with this awesome new portal gun, but she's kind of nervous about breaking it, or doing something wrong]

Oh, that makes sense.

[she waves her hand as she talks] No boyfriends or anything like that. So you don't have to worry about any door stomping.

"Haha... uh, thank goodness--moving on."

[He isn't sure how to transition conversations smoothly... He really IS all over the place.]

"I've been thinking... about this plan I have. Well-wekk it's not really a plan per say, it's.... well, if I were to call it a plan, that would sound ominous... I was just... just wondering. If you could... help me."

[optimystic]

[whew, she looks relieved for the topic change. Dating was never Maya's area of expertise...that's the problem with being incredibly dense and thinking you're not really pretty enough to be attractive]

A plan?

[and that sounds exciting, her eyes widen and nods]

Yeah! Of course I'll help, Ace Assistant Maya Fey is here to assist!

[wheatdos]

[He laughs a little and raises an eyebrow. Of course it'd be her. He smiles and nods.]

"Of course...! Hahaha.
What I was hoping that you'd help me with... is, well..."

[He clears his throat.]

"I have this... this overwhelming urge to help people, love! I understand how it'd be difficult, for... since I'm not the most trusted person in this castle... I was wondering... if you could help me."

[optimystic]

[aw, hearing that makes her smile]

That's great! And... yeah, I can see how that would be hard.

[people don't trust him, huh? She honest to God doesn't get it. Sure he's jumpy but he's always really nice! Whatever, people in Paradisa could be weird... he's probably had bad luck with the people he's met]

What kind of help do you need? Or wait, I guess I should ask first, how do you want to help people? [whatever it is, she bets she can help somehow]

"Uhhh..."

[He laughs nervously, and then comically puts his head down on the table.]

"That-that's the problem! The closest thing I've ever gotten to helping a human back in my facility is... well..."

[He raises his head.]

"How exactly...d-do you... humans help eachother?"
