Open Post: A hellhound appears!

[the arena is back open again! But before people get too excited, they will see that most of the space is taken up by a gigantic dog. It's a black mastiff about the size of a tank. If you've been paying attention to lessons you would know that this is a hellhound. Even if you haven't, it's a pretty big dog.

Currently it's chewing on a practice dummy. What do you do?]

[Natsuki stops in her tracks when she sees the giant dog, and turns right around and leaves the arena.

She returns shortly, bouncing a basketball on the ground and whistling to get the dog's attention. There's a niggling feeling that this might not be the best idea in the world, but. Oh well.]

[the dog perks up, wagging its tail excitedly. Someone to play with! It bounds over to Natsuki, barking happily.]

[she tucks the basketball under an arm and uses her free hand to scratch the dog.]

Who's the big handsome puppy who's not going to trample me underfoot? That's you! Yes, you!

[the tail is thumping hard on the ground, hard enough to shake the ground a little. You may not be trampled but you will be drowned in doggy slobber]

[and she just laughs] Ewwww. Somebody's just a bit drooly.

[she takes a couple of steps back and starts bouncing the basketball between her hands.] You want the ball? Yeah? Yeah? Go get it!

[and the ball goes flying towards the other side of the arena!]

[ball. Yes. Balls are good. The dog goes chasing after the ball but it's so small that she can barely get it in her mouth. When she brings it back, it is also covered with drool]

[she was heading past there on her way to the lake, but ... what even. she's stopping to peer at this ... dog ... wow, that is a big dog]

[yes, yes it is. And it's pretty much chewed this poor dummy to pieces]

[she lets out a soft whine and drops the dummy]

[barks and wags tail at "girl"]

... Girl, then? [she'll move to approach a little, looking up at her ...] Wow, you're huge.

[she bends her head so Ino can pet her]

Eh? [... well. she hesitates for a moment before reaching up to gently pat her nose]

[ Well she seems pretty friendly. He's holding his hand out for her to sniff as he approaches. That's what you do with dogs, right? Rock is the closest thing he's ever had and he's a giant flaming pokemon, so that's a little different. ]

[and it says something about Tartarus, along with some Greek letters for the name of the owner. How helpful]

[she sniffs his hand and decides he is lick-worthy. Hopefully he doesn't mind doggy slobber]

[ Nah! His sister drools on stuff too, sometimes! It's a little gross, but hey that's dogs for you.

He reaches out with the other hand to pet her head. ]

Good boy! Or... girl, I don't actually know. I guess you probably can't tell me your name can you?
